Ubisoft has today confirmed that although there's some substantial new downloadable content for Prince of Persia heading to consoles, there'll be no DLC released for the PC version of the game.

Titled Prince of Persia: Epilogue, the first set of downloadable content is set to expand greatly on the ending to the game and give players a chance to continue to explore the fiction created by Ubisoft Montreal. It's planned for release on February 26th - on consoles that is.

Yet, according to Big Download, Ubisoft has no plans to bring the same content to PC gamers at any point. Those three hours of extra gameplay, new character models and extra enemies for you to quicktime through are all console-only.

What's worse, Ubisoft has refused to give any explanation for the lack of DLC on the PC, saying only that the decision is for business reasons - though whether that be because nobody is sponsoring the port or because of piracy fears isn't clear. We bet it's one of the two though.

There's still no word on pricing for the console-exclusive DLC, but Ubisoft is keen to stress that Epilogue is built of premium, planned content that will include whole new areas for the Prince to explore, as well as extra dialogue and attacks. It all sounds fabulous, even if it is console-only.
