Many of you out there have had the enjoyment of reading The Secret Diary of Steve Jobs over the past year and some have even attempted to unmask his real identity. Well the jig is up for technology writer Daniel Lyons as Brad Stone has identified him as the author of the lampoon blog.

Lyons has been running the blog for the past fourteen months as a satirical view on the thoughts and feelings of Apple chief executive, Steve Jobs. Under the guise of Fake Steve, Lyons has made remarks about people such Steve Wozniak, Eric Schmidt, and other technology leaders.

"I'm stunned that it's taken this long," Lyons told the NY Times. "I have not been that good at keeping it a secret. I've been sort of waiting for this call for months."

Admittedly, this kind of ruins the fantasy of the mystery but the blog will go on. Soon, it will be featured over at Forbes where Lyons has been the senior technology news writer.

Have you enjoyed reading Fake Steve or is the the first you've ever heard of him? Did any of you out there participate in the hunt to unmask his true identity? Let us know over in the forums or right down below in the comments section.
