University College London is launching a Masters course in Nanotechnology.

UCL is known for being at the forefront of science study and research in the UK. Nanotechnology is a massively growing market, with computers and healthcare rapidly converging. UCL says that its new MSc will fill demand from the industry for highly skilled graduates.

The course will be taught by tutors from UCL's own Department of Electrical Engineering, which is well-respected and ranked by educational surveys. Students will also have the benefit of research facilities provided by the London Centre for Nanotechnology, which has a massive state of the art lab.

Professor Ian Boyd, the Chair of Electronic Materials in the university's Electronic Engineering Department, said that "The training and experiences shared on this course will lay the foundation for a new generation of nanotechnology experts to advance this field and uncover new potential uses for a disclipline we have only just begun to explore."

Candidates need a minimum 2:2 degree in science of engineering, although with demand (and standards) likely to be high, we'd suggest that only the brightest will get hand-picked.
