Vista RC2 on Friday?

A quick news bite for those following Vista:

It looks like Vista isn't quite as far behind as some have expected. Apparently, the RC2 version of the software is coming soon. This puts the operating system less than a month away from code freeze and RTM (at least, some of our own coders speculate).

The new build, version 5743 for those keeping track, is slated to come out this Friday. But don't go rushing to the Vista download sites - this one isn't a freebie for everyone. RC2 is going to be a more limited engagement, released only to MSDN subscribers, TechNet subscribers and official beta testers.
