There is a Valve enforced player limit - not enough spawn points in the bases or some such nonsense.

Cheers for good game everyone, was a great few rounds of fragging. Can vouch for Lazytown, definately want that one. Haven't played Castle before, just want to avoid Floodzone - far too long winded and boring for my liking.

Has lazytown been fixed now, like can you stand within the yellow and black stripes to cap instead of on the point? Also are the final points now quicker caps? Otherwise lazytown is a bit pants and pretty much always ends in a stalemate.

I played on a server the other day with an interesting setting, the sudden death was mele only it stopped the usual turtling you get in sudden death and since there was no healing gun or dispensers it made the whole thing much quicker. You should try that on your server and see if any one else likes it.

Spawn times are set for each map and change based on in-game variables (which team is winning on this map, how many capture points taken, number of players etc). That data is held in the map bsp file itself.

Basically, as it currently stands I can't change it.

When you are defending its meant to take longer to spawn, gives a little more incentive not to die. It also gives the attacking team a chance since they can frag the entire other team and have a few seconds to secure the spawn point.

Is the UT3 up and running on the server, obviously since the UT Devs decided not to put a connect to IP button I cannot type the IP in. Does anyone know of another way or what is the servers actual name?

Tried that doesnt support UT3 yet. Trying gamespy but there doesn't seem to be a connect via IP address thing either and I cannot find anything under bit or trusted when doing a name search :(

i thought the all seeing eye essentally died about 2-3 years ago. basically they stopped updating it.

As for spawn times on tf2 i thought this was an admin controlled variable. some servers I have been on even have instant respawn just like original tfc

I think if you right click in the server list area, you will get a small menu, and you should get an option to connect by ip

If not, x-fire pwns :)

ok, now I got UT3 installed and running - How do I find the Bit-Tech server in game? I can't seem to find anywhere to enter the IP address, is there a console command I can use?

Edit: Just Downloaded X-Fire and I can't seem to add the Bit UT3 server to the list. This is getting frustrating...

Slightly reassuring that im not the only one, I managed to add it as a favourite on gamespy but it was blank had a ping of 9999 so I could assume it isn't actually running!

In X-fire

Go to Servers tab
Right click on "Favorites"
Click "Add Custom IP to Favorites"
Select UT3 (or demo if that's the case) from the dropdown
Enter the IP (maybe the port, not sure with UT3 ...)

Click ok and double click your new entry to launch UT3 and connect to the server

X-fire detects I have UT3 installed fine, but it won't show up in the the add server window.

To connect to the BT server just open the console and type open 194.74.152.172:7777 and you'll get into the BT server

Wrong assumption. I had it running on Friday but I can't work out why it isn't in the server list - all the info my end indicates it should be, bu tI have to join manually.

Sorry for my bad assumption, anyone going to be playing UT3 tonight? Also I'd vote for some dm team or not. DM rock's :) capture the flags fun but some of the maps cause deadlock, so you have to be prepared to spend an insane ammount of time on one map!

if it's running, I may jump on for 5 (that's 5 minutes, not 5 o'clock btw).

I am enjoying the single player, but I think I'm going to have to replay it again once I get a decent graphics card - going by the screenshots, on a top end system, it should look as Gears does on the 360.
Now I know it shouldn't look *that* good on my 6600, but I would have thought it should look at least look as good as UT2004 did - however, on my system It looks like Doom.

Man i hate the internet some days, i'm practically holding the first cp on the second stage of dustbowl by my self, i'm starting to run low on health after killing a good dozen people, so i head back into the shack for health and ammo as i do a spy sneaks up and caps the point. The bloody engy who put a health station 5 minutes walk away, says "steveo you suck so bad".... ffs.
