"Laugh it up, fuzzball!"
OK, so it's not often we see a product and think - "Oh my God, that
has to be a case mod." But sometimes, just sometimes, a product appeals to us on so many levels. This is one of those times.
For starters, it's not like you get the Lego Millenium Falcon pre-built - it already requires a heck of a lot of assembly, perfect for modders everywhere. And since it's a hunk of junk that always requires repairs, why not customise it a little? There's great potential for modding in just the kit itself.
Of course, the Falcon is one of the fastest ships in the galaxy, making it perfectly suited to housing a top of the line PC. The Lego replica is three foot long, so getting the kit in there might be a squeeze - but that's why we're modders, right? A few PCI bendy brackets here, a custom shell there - it's gotta be possible to get some Micro ATX kit in there.
Lastly, it has an insane amount of geek appeal. C'mon, who can resist the Millenium Falcon? It's the ultimate symbol of all that is geeky. It's a cobbled together machine that performs admirably, most of the time, but is prone to tantrums - sound like your PC? It certainly sounds like mine!
The kit is on sale very soon for a fabulous $499 / £349, and has over 5000 pieces. Think you can take it on? Here's the
store page.

I've got a whole load of massive Lego things from my childhood dotted about my room.
:'(
It dose look cool.
My girl bought me a Lego Star Destroyer for Christmas.
And I agree, that would make one heckuva mod project!

And even to those guys, I mean no offense. Well, no offense as long as you're married or otherwise romantically involved with someone that does not dress up in a Star Trek uniform or Star Wars costume on Halloween (or any other day of the year).
:D :D
"Measuring an impressive 37 by 23, this model dwarfs any LEGO Star Wars ship ever produced."
You might be able to squeeze something a little better in here!
they say it has 120 laser cannons but i only see like 14 :|
I thought the Imperial Star Destoyer & the Death Star II were huge at just over 3000 pieces each, but 5000!!!
I've already pre-ordered it, it only ships in October so plenty of time to save up the massive £350. Not sure I'd ever want to mod a PC into something so awesome though, it looks so beautiful as it is, plus the huge price tag...it will just end up on my Lego shelf with all my other Star Wars Lego sets that I own (50 & counting )
In the meantime, you can see which sets I own here but that's just box pictures.
