Level Twelve by slipperyskip

Project Log: Here
Every project from slipperskip's workshop that has graced our forums has been a classic, the most recent of which, Ingraham, made waves in last year's Mod of the Year competition. With his Level 11 project, based on Thermaltake's decidedly odd Level Ten case, slipperyskip hit upon a hugely successful design which, if we're honest, put Thermaltake's effort to shame.

slipperyskip has used a similar design with a follow-up project, Level Twelve, which is his entry to the Lenovo modding competition, which jj_sky5000's entry this month is also a part of.

As with all his projects, Level Twelve started in a neat and very un-messy fashion with tidy sections of wood gradually coming together. The project had to be based around lenovo's IdeaCentre H320 mini PC, but thankfully, despite some initial concerns this restriction didn't prove too limiting as far as modding was concerned.

The hardware, which comprises a mini-ITX based system, was soon laid out with a slimline Blu-ray drive and USB 3 hub giving a very cutting edge feel to the project.

The case quickly came together, proving a trim enclosure for the components. Some of the panels have already been covered in veneer using contact cement to give a more natural appearance. It's looking like a work of art already.

We can't wait to see what additional details are added - this project is definitely one to keep an eye on.
