I have to wonder. At this level of "Professional modding" do you get paid for your work or do you get free hardware and the case back after it's made it's way around the world at asus demos?
@Sleepstreamer - How are the acoustics on that case?
Well, right now it's not great as I'm using noisy LED-fans, but if I swapped them all for some quiet Adda ones I think it would be okay.

Beer would be nice :D

I get a bunch of hardware for the work I've put in, not money unfortunately. And the case is currently beeing given away as first price in a competition on a swedish forum. So this is still very much all for fun, not profit (actually, I really don't want the case back at all, it'll just fill up my already crammed garden shed).
Wonder why Asus didn't want an internal optical drive? An external thing'll ruin the lines. Still, that is a beautiful case, although I'd probably have relocated the hard drives somewhere else, or if they had to be on show used one with a window in it and put the actual Raptors elsewhere. Still, that's just me. The quality, especially of the finishes, is excellent.

I think they'd only use an external drive for uploading stuff. When its on display on a stand, it'd just be the Case and mabey a screen.
Why on earth would Asus need an optical drive to begin with? Optical storage is SO last century. Fitting a standard 5,25" drive to any case design is extremely likely to ruin the lines. Just try designing a small case and you'll see.
Your mods has finally brought me to sign up as a member to say Its beautiful! I love your simple frame but is it strong? I was thinking of using your casing as a reference to make one of my own since sadly you don't sell them haha

Asus made it clear they did'nt want any as they would be using an external USB connected drive.
Actually I think you've been making a lot cooler stuff than me for a long while, absolutely loving your techy design-themes :)

I wouldn't have minded seeing more progress pics!
