Looks awesome. :D I need to sort out a new HTPC (smaller, as I've moved and don't have the same amount of room I did... :() and none of the cases I can buy really do what I want. I'd build my own, but don't have the time, and it certainly wouldn't come out that neat. Nice, nice work.
I never saw a build log, and that makes me sad.:( This is really beautiful. I feel your pain on the part about the masking fusing to the plastic. I had a sheet like that. It was a nightmare.
Homemade buttons rule!:D

Actually tbh, I haven't tried full hd on it as of yet, but when I do I'll leave a comment in this thread :)

I can't remeber anyone else that could use visible screws with so much charm as he does! Always with great ideas! Up to now, this is MY vote for MotY!
Grats friend! Nice work as always! ;)
Wow that's some very high praise, I'm honored! I'm also very happy about you mentioning the screws, as I'm one of those people who believes that well placed screw heads actually adds to the look, rather than clutters it up.

Only thing about the write up is that I'd like to have seen more on the hardware mounting and internal layout. Otherwise, awesome project!
You might be right about that, if you're interested I could post some pics of the internals in this thread. Heh, well my small corners can hardly compare to the agony of ribbing an entire case!
I don't see an optical drive in any of the pictures, is that correct? One would fit in the wht external look niceley along the black strip on the front, but I don't know how that would work inside.

Skiddywinks demands more modz!
Why not take advantage of the cooling capacity of the aluminium you built it out of? Make it noiseless and get rid of those fans?
I have many wishes for my HTPC but the biggest one is dead silence combined with large storage capacity :)
