LOL, first time that I takk a look at the article my wife told me "It's the plexy we gave to Greensabbath!" and you wrote my name :-)
Wow, I'm honored!
Good work, and an original theme for me, I never read comics :-)
See you soon with a pizza and a beer, ok?

You said it right there - looks good and perfect execution. Sometimes it's not about the "OMG jawdrop" results, it's about translating the same things that make those great into an effective, clean and well-thought out job. :) I like to showcase this type of work - I think it says something when a modder can do not only the over-the-top full-on mods, but make short and sweet ones that look and exude quality...much like Wolverine and the companion cube.
That, and I think Nick has shown some great and understated tips and techniques in this mod - like replacing the plastic on the top and doors with metal that you'd not even notice at first glance, but that gives the whole case a more polished appeal.

I'm sorry, but I have to agree. I know it's a case made for a contest so it had to be done quickly, but there's just not that much modded in that case.
I think it was worth front page coverage. And who the hell has the right to pick apart something just for where it got posted anyway? If you're just going to nit-pick keep your comments to yourself.
Really nice case IMO. Well executed, and a nice, clean look.

It's not about how much it's modded, the important thing is the design and the result. You can't compare old country style and minimalistic modern design and say the first one is better because it have more details.
I guess that's the pitfall of continually raising the bar with great quality work: when I saw Greensabbath's name and a teaser-photo of his case on the front page, I got excited. After I scrolled through the article I was left feeling, "Oh, that's it?" I expected more than what this mod was about. That's my own fault, though, and shouldn't be taken as a criticism toward Greensabbath.
I don't mean to belittle his work. I do agree the work was done well, but I'm just not sure why it's front-page material. Other than the fact that it was done by Greensabbath, there isn't anything really noteworthy that we haven't seen a number of times before.
Hey guys, thanks for your comments and criticisms. I made this case specifically for the contest for a theme (comic books) which I would normally have no interest in. It was also made within a week's time and I never really intended it to be anything close to my previous cases (for that you'll have to wait a few months ;) )
With that said, I think the case turned out ok, especially since it took a week instead of a year like it normally does. All I can say is stay tuned for later this year.

He has, you do and I do. It's a public forum.
