Yuugou

"After finishing my first case mod, Sangaku, I thought to myself “That was fun, but I think I’ve had enough.” Of course, while saying this, I was already simultaneously thinking of the next mod, which became “Yuugou”. A lot of things have happened while doing both mods and I like to see Yuugou as both personal and professional growth.
"It is nice to be inspired from your own work. For example, my projects usually build on each other and you can see a clear progression from one to the next. Yuugou is no different, from the inner / outer frame concept inspired by Sangaku, to the side panel design, inspired from my Japanese lamp. These projects all have one underlying theme in common; a clean aesthetic and quality craftsmanship most in tune with the Japanese architecture of the Ise Shrine and two of my favorite architects, Charles and Henry Greene."
