Voted for Dark Blade, but WMD was a close second.
brinkz0r 16th December 2006, 12:14 Quote
That choice wasn't very hard :) WMD got me reading the 3 parts of the worklog serveral times, I even got my dad to read it :D

ACRyan wants to give away one of these to a random thread participant:

http://www.acryan.com/alubox/ACR-HD50190.shtml

A very nice ethernet/USB combo external drive caddy ;)

The first person to come up with a list of the mods and the gambling-style odds on them, based on the feedback in this thread, gets it.

sweet hdd case :)

Well, i tallied all the votes, but i have no idea how to translate it into gambling odds and finals week is over so my brain is fried... :?

Righty in order from favourite down:

WMD: 1.87 : 1
Dark Blade: 3.3 : 1
Sangaku: 5.14 : 1
Boss FX57: 7.6 : 1
Silent ContexYZ : 9.75 : 1
Cold Fusion: 42 : 1
Biomech 550: 42 : 1
BF2142: N/A
Extreme Lian-Li: N/A
Spiderman 4: N/A
Temple Of Nod: N/A

All values are not perfectly statisticly applicable, values based on exit polls and people who said "I have voted for" not "I have to decide between X and Y but I think X may get my vote"

EDIT: Will, if you pass through to me actual values you have (confidentially obviously) I can make it more relevant and less like an American Election
WilHarris 17th December 2006, 20:43 Quote
Dude, rock on :D :D

Email me your address.

Hmm, only I have the power to compare the Exit polls with the actual results so far ;)
DougEdey 17th December 2006, 20:57 Quote
Done, I used the "Send email to will harris" form, hope it makes it.

I'll keep the odds upto date though, once every day or so, whenever a change in odds has occured.

Its a hard choice, but I've voted. They're all good in different aspects. :)

all users of the site bit tech can vote?
r4tch3t 17th December 2006, 22:43 Quote
Yes any bit member can vote.

I'm sad to see that. As of your count Temple of Nod had zero exit pole votes but it was in my top two.

Maybe I just missed this but: If I have multiple e-mail addresses could I vote again or do only votes from registered e-mail addresses count? I don't want to skew the results but I think it's a valid question as to what is and isn't allowed. It would be nice to see some official contest rules.
r4tch3t 18th December 2006, 02:31 Quote
Yes I was thinking that too, as I have two e-mails I regularly use, and had to choose between two mods, I choose in the end, but was wondering the same thing.
moimit 18th December 2006, 02:58 Quote
Well if ACRyan is giving away stuff to a random BT member what does the top modder get? i wish ACRyan would give away some SKILL, i need some of that. but a prize will do, where do i put in my postal address?
DougEdey 18th December 2006, 05:09 Quote
Doesn't have to be a bit-tech member from my count, anyone with an email address.

And I didn't count "Top X votes" only "I voted for ZZZ".

Nice prize but under that rule it's not really to "a random thread participant". It's more of a contest within a contest. Go Doug

sooo difficult to choose from...I picked SilentContexYZ. Most likely to be reproduced...And It's his first attempt, which is hard to believe...
WMD and Darkblade are too One-of a kind for me,although I do love WMD... And honorable mention for Sangaku ! Wood is a noble material.
rowin4kicks 18th December 2006, 12:19 Quote
It may be the most obvious choice but so far i have choosen WMD because of the sheer ingenuity g-nome has, just the concept deservses to win! He managed to fit a square peg in a circular hole (literally) and with such style. Damn i just want that case now!!

second came Sangaku for me, one of the least common materials used for a comp case and he has such skill with it, damn sexy case but i think g-nome just wins for me!
+AC ryan prizes!!! thanks to them for recognising bit-tech!
alextwo 18th December 2006, 12:28 Quote
It was very close for me between Sangaku and WMD, although I voted Sangaku in the end - just slightly more to my style. But congrats to all the great mods in the running for this.

I had to vote for Dark Blade.
Many mods use CNC made parts, but G69T used all 3 dimensions in his work.
Most CNC that I've seen in case mods is only 2D work. Either it's milled flat pieces
or turned pieces. Dark blade has many parts with a combination of milled and lathed
work, something different and taking CNC to the next level.
samkiller42 26th December 2006, 00:43 Quote
I did do some voting for the Temple of Nod, im a huge Command and Conquer fan, and obviously bias comes into the equation :D
