Well top 2 for me are Sangaku and Silent ContexYZ. But I think Sangaku is in a class of its own, not what I would consider a casemod, so much as a masterpiece of artwork. Therefore, I voted for Silent ContexYZ. I think the color scheming was very well done and much of the modding was functional and purposeful, meaning no faux wires or unnecessary stick on parts. It was one of the few I wouldn't mind having on my desk, as its not too gaudy or impractical. While original cases are great, I'm oldschool and still like modded cases. Overall, I think practicality and usability is very important, while this case still looks amazing and is much improved over the start case.

Now this is a contest with some stiff competition. I'm really not sure who i'm voting for but I think WMD might be in order just for the amount of work that went into it and the lack of using CNC machines (they bug me) but we shall see. Good job bit-tech for housing the best mods on the world all in one place (I mean as a whole and not just the ones in this contest).
Quote Ramble 11th December 2006, 17:11
All good stuff, but I voted for WMD becuase it's just flawless perfection.
Quote Tech-Daddy 11th December 2006, 17:22
Holy smokes! To be in the running with this esteemed list of mods... that is an honor all by itself! I am still dwelling on where to place my vote... it's tough... that is for sure!

I mean... this list is just phenominal! Wow....

Good luck to everyone!

It would definitely be nice to know how many hours of construction time each mod has taken. (I'm sorry if it's said somewhere )

I think there's some participiants that can't be compared to the others in some way, but I don't want to be offensive or anything so that's it... Good luck to everybody!

Voted for Dark Blade, but I wish I could have voted for WMD too.
Quote scrumble 11th December 2006, 18:38
BOSS: FX57 almost gets my vote. I like the way its still visibly a PC case, but shouts muscle car, and as the blurb says "it evokes the original spirit of case modding".

But..... WMD edges it for shear sexiness
Quote jokkos 11th December 2006, 18:38
my vote is in. It was a very very hard choice to make.
Quote Da Dego 11th December 2006, 18:41
To all of you contestants who made it - Great job and congrats! What a list. With that said, I've voted...but what a hard choice.
Quote jezmck 11th December 2006, 18:47
Sangaku f't'w imho tbh.
Quote smoguzbenjamin 11th December 2006, 18:56
Voted for the BOSS: FX57 myself. I like that it's still a PC, as mentioned before. Even though I enjoy viewing the more extreme mods like the WMD, modding (for me anyway) is about modifying a PC case, whereas building an entire new case would be more than 'just' modding. FX57 gets it for sheer slickness.

I voted for Silent ContexYZ, I love that yellow theme and I think Mr Koll deserved it. WMD is great too but I only have the one vote.
Quote Stuey 11th December 2006, 19:39
I'm going to have to think this one over! There are a couple really great ones out there. I like most of the mods, but the ones I absolutely love are BOSS FX57, Cold Fusion, Dark Blade, Sangaku & WMD. How to choose!!

Decisions, decisions!!
Quote g3n3tiX 11th December 2006, 21:15
wow. there are people with talent (and a LOT of time) out there. i cannot find the words to show how I'm impressed... dark blade is just too much. WmD will surely get my vote!
Quote [WP@]WOLVERINE 11th December 2006, 21:25
For me theres just one case and thats the Dark Blade!!

Oh btw Four Swedish modders amongst the twelve thats not to shabby for a country the size of a footballfield :D:D
Quote jeff127 11th December 2006, 21:30
I had to vote for Dark Blade as I have been reading the log from the start and it has inspired me several times over!
Quote Ediejo 11th December 2006, 21:32
I do not vote for me the all winners. And every mod has his own speciality. In my eyes there a 5 or 6 mods who can go for that title. So it's up to you.

I think Dark blade for nr 1.

I only hope that green sabbath have some more luck now. So nr 2
Quote ZapWizard 11th December 2006, 21:35
My vote goes to my friend Tech-Daddy for BOSS.
I have to say also I love extreme mods, but I have total respect for a case mod, as I have a harder time imagining how to mod a case then start from scratch.
Quote Sleepstreamer 11th December 2006, 21:50
WMD it is :)
Quote scarecrow 11th December 2006, 21:55
Honostly I think Sangaku is the winner just due to lack of heavy machinery and the difficulties with working with wood. No bolts or anything that is crazy and it is a piece of art. Unique for Sure so my vote goes there. Though this is a tough competition some crazy stuff up there.
Quote Elspuddy 11th December 2006, 22:48
i would vote but i dont see gunsmiths case mod in there :(
Quote Tim S 11th December 2006, 23:00
It was done in 2005, that's why. This is for case mods that were finished during 2006. :)
Quote GoTaLL 11th December 2006, 23:07
sweet :)
Quote shomann 11th December 2006, 23:09
The way I see it, these are all first-class works of art. I am floored by the ingenuity of a modification when I think "how did they come up with that" and I border on jealousy when I see a custom case spring up from nothing.

That said, I voted for WMD. The thing that really does it for me is that it is a great design from start to finish that follows a theme perfectly. I wish I could vote for more than 1!

P.S. You know, there really should be 2 categories here, one for mods and one for custom case design.
