very nice jobs

1 thing, i think gigabyte really screwed up on those gfx cards, they put this huge cooler on the thing, and then a whiny 60mm fan, its really annoying

mine died, so i got a x1900xt, but man was that GPU noisy

Nice pun!

Tech-Daddy, you fooled me (and probably others) as I presumed all along that there was a window there.

Any ideas on what your next project will be? Any inspirations? Will you go with the Castle/Knights theme you talked about in the article?

The smoothest mod I have seen for quite a while!

I just over the Mustang inspired color and text.

An idea: watercooling with black rubber tubing, a cars AC pump (hm, i think it needs big amps, and noisy, but hey, who cares), a bike's intercooler as the rad (or a cars heater) under the blowhole, yummi.. But yeah, I know, $$$ and time.
But this mod rocks, respect! ;)

:)

(begins acting like a mime cleaning the window that isn't there...)
"No... it is just *reeeealy* clean! ;)

Next project, I'm involved in is a big corporate case, but I did not do much more than organize the mod. Zapwizard and the Austin Modders crew stepped up and did the machine build while I was out of the country (long story there...) putting the wraps on it tonight, loading the OS and delivering it. Should start seeing work logs on it in the comming weeks as the customer allows image releases... :)

I have a case that is kind of in limbo, DST (Dallas Stars Tribute) that I now have all of my vinyl and my fan grills for. I need to get the logo water jetted into the case. It is a case for a friend of mine that is a fan of the Dallas Stars NHL hockey club. I am too, and that is what makes the case a ton of fun to do. After that one, I have another Dallas Stars case lined up *for* the Dallas Stars organization for a charitable auction. After that, I have 2 personal mods in my head that I want to get out and built. 1 is an old luggable unit from the early 80's that I have some bitchen plans for... and the other one is a Shuttle SFF mod that I have more "hot rod" plans for!

Beyond that... who knows! ;)

(after I typed that all out... I just realized that is a pretty substaintial backlog of work, I just kill myself! ) ;)

As for the castle/knights theme... yeah, it is still there. I have it fleshed out on paper. It is going to be along the lines of scale mail, magically enchanted armor, runes, and stuff like that... another one of those "if I can find the time, I'll pump it out" mods! ;)
Quote Lazlow 15th August 2006, 16:27
Sounds good though! Especially looking forward to the Shuttle SFF Mod - could be FX57's 'mini-me'.
Quote Tech-Daddy 15th August 2006, 18:30
yeah... it is a socketA, so it will definately be a "Mini Me";)

Great mod Tech-Daddy, especially considering the time pressure you were working under! I love the orange color scheme and the whole concept behind it (I'm a big fan of 60's/70's muscle cars too).

Respect B)

Look forward to your next project...

I saw this mod a while ago, and i am glad u finally posted a full log about how you did it. When i first saw it it gave me some ideas about my own case mod that i will be doing. At the time i had no money whatsoever, but now i have a job i have started saving up and after jan i should have enough to get started on my mod which i have decided to make it like the famous Shelby 500 GT. I know a lot of people think that i won't be able to pull it off, but i have had extensive training in fixing car bodys so I am hoping i will be able to do it right. I was thinking though for my scoops (there will be more than one like the car) instead of using the foam, i am going with body filler, i have used it in many applications, one being a 3 foot working replica of a MTB (Motor Torpedo Boat) which, because i love danger, also fire off real model rocket engines in an unpredictable projectile flight path, once which almost hit me directly in the head. I am drawing up my palns and i can post thm once i have thm drwan and i would value your opinion on them once you see them.
