Indeed a nice mod and a good log of it too.
Love the idea of using foam to keep the ball in shape, simple, effective, brilliant!
Also the placing for the activity and power leds is great, once again, sort of obvious but still not =]
Like Zero82z', the "pentagrams" caught my eye too.
A few questions:
The things that really bothered me was the way the grass was left on the corners of the base, was left wondering that did you cut the excess grass off from the corners or not - because those aren't visible in the final "gallery"? another one was the wiring, did you really leave the wires under the base just "hanging" there?
All in all, great and interesting project! Looking forward to reading the remaining Creative mod logs.
Although an awesome project overall it lacks real polish that would make it outstanding from all views. I think you should have used the board with the off board connectors and mounted a plated into the rear skin of the ball, that way it would more or less close up that rear ugly opening and give it more of 360 appeal. I also agree about trimming the corners on the grass.
Gr8 mod!!
I dunno if it's possible but what if you had used the I/O headers version of the mobo and move all the connectors to the shoes. Then only one cable (a fat one) would have come out of the ball, and made it movable.
This isn't a case mod, it's a picture of a soccerball and some shoes. No internal pics, no monitor attached, and the LED light on the ball looks like the light from an LED keychain, LEDS don't shine too well through vynel + the soccerball liner.

fake fake fake fake fake....
if it was fake, why would Foxconn have it on its stand at Computex?

Just a thought.
Great mod, suprised it doesn't overheat with all the foam in there. Kudos for making it look so good ;)
:( :( :(
and just a note: it's known as soccer in Australia too.. Football here is Aussie Rules... or "Aerial Ping Pong" as we locals like to call it.
Anything else is just a lie.
