undefinedundefinedundefined Mr. Piloux, I was wondering if you could help me? You see... Your black-mesa case inspired me so much, that i have decided to mod a case , similiar to the style which you did:D I was just wondering how you made, or, buildt up that HL2 logo which you have on the side-panel behind the motherboard. I know that you carved the logo out of metal or something, but how did you manage to make space between it and the motherboard tray?

If your royal highness would be kind enough to answer me on this humble question, you would forever hold my gratitude:D:D:D:D :D

Oh dear God whats next? A Fanclub? Come on people! Piloux is talented, but stop worshipping him! Just take a little time and effort into learning how to do this stuff and then do the same thing! Stop worshipping the modders of this forum! They are normal human beings just like you and me! :( (You can tell I disklike fanboyism and meaningless worship of people).

Wow dude...I'm really impressed.

I'm new to bit-tech (as of today) and I was up until 3:00 in the morning reading the posts on your pc.
I had to join so I could post something.
I have a question on the tanks. I want to do water cooling in my case, but I read that all the air has to be pumped out out.
How is it then that the 2 tanks in your case are not filled all the way?

Otherwise, awsome job, you're an inspiration!

;) ;)

pff just jealous that they don't worship u instead... ;)
I think it's good to show some respect to those with obvious experience, skill and talent as they're the ones that are inspiring the rest of the community =) I know most of my planned work is inspired by them :D

I´m interested in intant iron & instant rust. I search in internet but i only find this paint in USA, and they don´t send packets to spain.

Where I can buy it?

I´m from Spain.

Thanks a lot.

I have had the same problem!!! I wanted exactly the same stuff that Piloux used but I couldn't find it here in Norway:(

Wanna know what I did? Well... I went down to my local paint shop Gjenstad (www.gjenstad.no) and asked them for help. I showed them the pictures of Piloux' case. The guy who worked there said he understood and then made a call to one of his "paint providers", then he showed me a catalog where there was a picture of an old clock or ornament or something, that was painted in rust.
The product that was used on the ornament was a rust paint (I don't think it was an oxidant, which Piloux used) so I ordered 3 bottles of it (they were kind of small, only 60 ml).

Now their being shipped all the way from Italy:D So in a week or two I'm ready to start modding:D:D:D ;)

This is not helped by a certain minority who deliberately drop endless 'praise' posts to spam their way to an avatar/other priviledges. so while it's a little unreasonable, that's where it's coming from.

Also this is a family-friendly forum, so please watch the language, especially in the non general-convo threads, cheers

Otherwise, on behalf of the mods and the rest of us, welcome to the forums guys :) as Roto was kinda saying, enjoy the projects shown here, but be inspired, go master some skillz and build your own stuff* to show here!

*or hang around in general discussion like me

I just use standoffs to fix the logo and then have enough place behind it to put uv ccfl

welcome to the forum ;)

these are working like air trap to catch the air in their top, then , the in and out water doesnt bring air bubbles through the circuit because they are at the bottom of tank; in fact the left bottle is the only one which is use in the circuit, the right one is just there for the look :)

AMAZING.

On the topic of selling this. I just hope you that you will make sure you get what you really deserve. meaning cost of supplies, concept + design fees, and Labour fees. I would charge anything less then 75$ US per Hour.

Remember this is a 1 of a kind piece of Art. Modern artists can sell a large canvas for $50,000.

I guess what im asking is dont sell yourself short, your a true master!
piloux 17th June 2004, 11:26 Quote
Thank you, well , it seems that artist's work of art are taking more valor after artist's death :( :D

Piloux do you know the french word for putty or bondo? (it is the compund they use to fill gaps and scratched in cars etc...)
piloux 17th June 2004, 15:11 Quote

you can see that I place the waterblock and the tubes; the tubes are silicon tubes that aren't so clear to get the old look...
the window is not finish yet , I m trying differents solutions to get it old and time damage

What tool did you use to cut the side panel?
maeterlinck 20th June 2004, 23:20 Quote
probably a dremel - that's what most ppl use.

also try not to quote pictures unless there's a reason. you post becomes very long for no reason! ;)

you'd be better off using a jig-saw if you have one.

Jigsaws are good but they are difficult to turn corners with in metal. Slow rounded ones maybe, but nothing jagged. But still I like my jigsaw :D
