Nice job on the skin work and it looks like you got it on with no bubbles. A tip for anyone thinking of this, if you wipe the surface with soapy water first, then when you lay down the skin you can move it around a little to fit it. Then take a hard rubber squeegee and starting in the middle work the soapy water out by pulling the squeegee to the edges. Also, a blow drier will soften the material to conform to edges and rounded surfaces.

Good job... ;)
Surely it's got an adhesive of some kind, and surely soapy water would completely screw up adhesive...

Not!...If this stuff is like the vinyl they put on the side of trucks which it looks like then what I said is a fact! Let me ask you something have you ever applied large decals on metal or painted surfaces? :|
Well its completely adhesive on the side you stick to the case. I know the type of vinyl you are thinking of - similar to case appliques - but I don't think this is it.
OK I just downloaded the pdf for installing this stuff and on the lower right image is exactly what I am talking about. The guy has a blow drier in one hand and on the other is a squeegee. Now one thing I did notice is there are micro channels in the glue surface to help channel the air out from under the vinyl. I would be very interested in seeing some of this stuff MrHaz, if I were to pay for shipping would you be willing to send me some of youre scrap pieces?

Yes and no. "Yes", in that it will act as a bit of an insulating layer, but "no" in that I don't subscribe to the theory that Aluminium cases have magical cooling properties.
If you're reliant on the chassis metal to radiate heat, your airflow isn't high enough IMO. Put it this way - I have applied case skins to several Alu cases before, and CPU temps are never a problem.

Nice to see an outing of the new logo/theme too!

The site sells covers for notebooks also... :D
Hehe
Nice job on that and damn the new logo definatly looks nice on a case :P
unlucky bout the size of the skin, wud av bin nice to get the circle matched up, saying that that it doesnt take much away from the end result!
:(
My initial question, unanswered
I was tempted at one point by a fridge skin, but I was too afraid to buy it and then get yelled at for screwing up the houses color scheme.
