No thanks, I'll stick with my £300 set of Floorstanding Missions thanks.
Ok, I paid more for a Pre-amp + Poweramp + Poweramp setup but it can atleast cope with more sources, and has the capacity to frighten old people and young children (my 2 yr old son has discovered what the volume knob does!)
"And let's face it: Many audiophiles today don't have a clue what really good audio is."
Then they're not audiophiles. Seems clear enough.
I don't know that I'd trust something as audiophile that's not purely stereo - that is, the omnidirectional sound is going to have slightly confused imaging, no? A little like Bose. Notthat that makes for unpleasant sound - perfect for ambient - but if you're the type to toe-in your Missions on stands to get the tweeters to ear level - basically, if you're a fiddler looking for "they could be in the room" noise - you're not going to be pleased with these.
Also have to agree with those that have questioned the desk material! Knowing how much better my speakers sounded as soon as I installed spikes to get them off the ground! (Not psychosomatic - anyone curious, just try a set on ne speaker and sit in the middle playing with the balance!)
I'm curious, but for £240 I wouldn't want to spent another £50+ trying out new desktop materials ;)
uhhm that missions line was a reference to myself, not aimied at B1GBUD's floorstanders, plainly! Hadn't noticed there was a second page til I posted and didn't see my post on the first page - I had a dim moment...

Remember - Big boxes = Big Bass
