Looks pretty good. Would be interested to see the differences between all the USB3 chips.

+1

and I am really looking forward to seeing some hardware that will enable front I/O USB3 (motherboard and cases)

I'm actually more interested in Sandy Bridge than in USB3, be it front or back I/O...

To me it's the eSATA ports that are really important, many boards simply don't have enough of them if any..

the 3 all the way: USB 3, PCIe 3, 32nm on the CPU :D

Shame it's PCIe 2.0 in the pics... :p

This new form factor if it doesnt add 10%-20% more cpu power its a complete waste.

if you can't over clock sandy bridge cpu's there may not be much market for them (by Bit Tech readers and their ilk at least) :p They'll need to offer 20% over an i7 920 oc'd to 4GHz to be worth anything. You can get usb3/sata3 on 1366 mobos now.

as for these boards, I still can't fathom the use of this hydra chip. Not seen an implementation yet that makes it more useful than crossfire or sli... why would you take the added risk of further incompatibilities with dual gfx that mixing chipsets will obviously introduce.

When is Socket 1155 and 2144(?) being released?

I'm due for a couple of new builds and could do with the heads up.

Nevermind, managed to spot it vertically arranged at the edge of the board.
