Hi Simon, welcome to the forums.

There is an SLI connector in the bundle and I forgot to include it in the photographs - my apologies. :o

We should have a review of the P5N32-E SLI Plus soon, as Rich is working away frivolously on it at the moment. In addition, we are told that the later "designed by NVIDIA" boards are much better than the early boards that we've had so many frustrations with. Hope this helps you.

On topic... it does look like a rather tasty board, but its little brothers are more than a tad confusing!

Hi Tim,

I noticed in one of your follow up's that Asus have addressed some of the inital issues and have released a revision.

Can you or anybody else tell me what the current revision model is?

I was set on EVGA 680i but just looked in the forums over there, eh not such nice reading. Seems like anyone buying the EVGA/BFG 680i which works, are the luckiest people alive.

Many thanks in advance ;)

Tim, I noticed in your review that you were using BIOS version 0802 dated 15th January 2007. I'm currently building a system with this board but reviewing the ASUS site, only found Version 0701 2007/01/02 update. Where did you get the more current BIOS and is it generally available? Also, are you aware of any significant advantages to the 0802 version? Thanks

Hi there,

I have just had a look and it does look like the BIOS has been removed from Asus' support site - I will give Asus a call this morning.

0701 is a pretty good BIOS - I have used that BIOS for a few weeks and didn't have any major problems to report. :)

Tim can you tell me what motherboard revision you had for testing? I have the 1.00G which is being RMA's if I can since it's terrible.

Thanks

The Extreme makes it sound cooler :D but seriously I like this board, now you can totaly make some top-end gaming PC with like 3 GeForce 8800's stuck to it. now that would be really sweat

You only can put 2 8800's. The two blue pci expresses are x16s. The 1 pci express is x8. It's for a physics board or something (which I doubt I'm ever going to get because it looks like the graphics industry may be integrating graphics/physics boards). Kinda pissed that I only get 1 PCI slots if i decided to dual SLI, but I guess that's a small complaint for the huge performance boost.
