Looks like I've finally found a worthy upgrade to my 8800GT. Seems a great balance of performance and price.

looks a great card... still happy I went the 570 route though.

is it me, or the fan blades are higher than the black cover? isn't that a health & safety hazard?

great performance. nvidia has done it again :D 500 series is a win!

Like i said in the other thread, looks like there's still no reason to retire the 275. Well, other than dx11. Sigh, come on GPU market!

Must... have....

One question though, what part of Just Cause 2 is DX11? From what i've read DX10 is optimal for this game.

Looks like a great card!

It and the rest of this gen are gonna look sooooooo 1999 later this year when the 28nm cards come out. They're what I'm saving my pennies for.
memeroot 25th January 2011, 14:19 Quote
it's a bit pricey compared to the 460?

Because it's a much faster card? :|

3 out of 3 Powercolor 6950s I've tested have unlocked. Tough call between the two, I'd go with the AMD/ATi card but I'm that way inclined. How is SLi scaling on GTX560Ti? I haven't had a sniff of one just yet.
Parge 25th January 2011, 14:24 Quote
Yeah, not quite as aggressively priced. But it is competitively priced when compared to its peers (the 6950)

yep, 28nm is rumoured be ready one year after 500 came out (late 2011, gtx580 came out in November). but the rumour is the first 28nm nvidia GPU will be GF119. so you have quite a large amount of time to save up.

don't expect next high end GPU to come out until 2012.

i may replace my 280 with one of these just for the sake of thermals, been waiting for a decent card with reasonable temps/decent cooler for ages now
thetrashcanman 25th January 2011, 14:30 Quote
three cheers for nvidia hip hip hooray hip hip hooray hip hip hooray, what an awesome card, and heres to the continuing tooth and nail competition between nvidia and amd

Looks really good, glad I waited for this...

great card stupid name, what the hell were marketing thinking re-launching the Ti brand when it has no relevance to anthing else in the nvidia product line up

Thanks for pointing out the typo!

So tempting!

If I end up taking a PhD next year the first thing I'll be doing with my £15,000 a year is getting a new rig :D

Wow! I was expecting the 560 to be good but this is beyond my expectations! Given the peformance, the launch price is more than reasonable; with the inevitable price drop in a couple of months or so this will be a lovely card to pick up.

I wonder if Galaxy/KFA2 will do a single slot version...
eddtox 25th January 2011, 14:53 Quote
Hmm.. very tempted to finally get rid of my ATI AIW 2006 PCiE and get one of these... But then I would actually have to buy new games for it instead of playing NWN, thus spending even more money and time on gaming :/

Grr.. can't decide.
slaw 25th January 2011, 15:00 Quote
Wow, its nearly as quick at my 480, uses a lot less power and its much quieter! it just shows what can happen in a year!
