Wow. I'll have to deploy a fleet of ROFLcopters on anyone who pays that much for a graphics card that IN SOME GAMES gets a few more FPS than cards that cost less than a 1/3rd of the price. Especially when you could wait a month or 2 and get a new DX11 card which is likely to match or beat this thing without making you weep when you compare your bank statement to your FPS readout.

Exactly, whats the point in releasing this thing now ? I don't think they will even sell 1000 of these with the DX11 cards just round the corner.
Doh !
to me it doesn't score high enough to warrant that amount of cash
if i read it right the 4870x2 scored higher in some of the benchmarks, showing it is still a good card for its age
Yes it can :D I have been waiting for this review for months now. And the results dont really surprise me, I would love these tests to be run again with more mature drivers (when available) and im sure they will be far better.

When available? If available more like - the Mars is really just two GTX 285s in SLI, and the GTX 285 has been on sale since January - that's nine months of driver updates, and it still throws up weird results and bugs... :(

Right up there with Voodoo 6000
Sheesh, I'd love to know what their sales predictions are for this one.

It shows on one of the photos that the card is one of a thousand limited editions.
They got their hands on TWO!!
Two :p

I just saved 1700 from everyone looking to SLI these. Feel free to mail me a cheque.

I lol'ed :)
And since all the current games seem to be PS3 ports with PS3 graphics, what's the point?
its indeed a limited edition graphic card. Limited in performance that is. Come one! 5 fps win for 3 times the price?
lol
I want numbers before I would make assumptions
