Big bits of hostility in your posts Action. Obviously you get more annoyed than I do when it comes to out of date drivers.

Because this IS A GOOD SITE and i very much like visiting it. This and [H]ardocp are my absolute favourites, out of the 12+ tech sites I visit each day. I am hostile to seeing this place slip in its standards, and its testing being and furthermore its staff arguing for being stuck in April from now until who knows when is a definite red flag. Every other site puts the effort in to something so basic, why can't bit-tech?

How does one visit so many sites a day?

Im a class 9 geek thats why.

For news/gossip fudzilla, vr-zone, tgdaily, dailytech, brightsideofnews

top drawer sites anandtech, bit-tech, techreport, guru3d, hardocp, hardwarecanucks

2nd tier/less popular sites driverheaven, techpowerup, pcper, hexus.net, hothardware

I also used to visit tomshardware, legionhardware, xbitlabs, legitreviews, techspot, techgage, extremetech.

Extremetech has sadly become a sort of how-to site, techspot reviews i just dont like/entirely trust, and i find legionhardware downright fishy. xbitlabs are just pants for graphics reviews because they arse around with driver settings giving screwy numbers. Shame because their reviews are long and very thorough

This article has made me laugh over and over... Welcome to the world the followers of CustomPC had to endure... Slack doesn't even come close and as soon as you complain the moderators all gang up and claim some obscure, specific reason for their action/comments.

I mean come on... DX11 cards are supposed to be hitting the streets any minute and what have we heard???

One final comment for anyone interested. I have been running the same rig for a while now... Pentium 2180 @3Ghz, 4GB DDR2 800Mhz RAM @1001Mhz, 9600GT 512MB @ C/775 S/1800 M/1100.... 22"@1680x1050

A while ago I played Company of Heroes with Vista and it stuttard on DX10 settings on High/Ultra(where available)... I have just tried it again using Win7 and everything is flying on MAXIMUM and absolutely smooth... just thought you might want to know.

Yep custom PC did seem a bit of a chore to follow. The Win 7 thing is interesting, decided to pass up the release client and just get the full thing as a christmas treat. Still on XP now so skipping vista was actually not so bad.

@Action Parsnip

At somepoint tonight I'm going to run a few benchmarks through Crysis with the same Hardware but on Win7. I'll post if I notice anything major or not. DX11 could be the evidence of just how bad DX10 was. What was the last DX10 game to be released anyway, and any news on what will be the first DX11 game???

Cool I'll look out for those numbers if you notice anything different. I believe the first dx11 game will be DiRT 2?? read something aboutr codemasters delaying release to put dx11 functionality in...
