The new Forceware drivers seem to give a real boost in performance, I hope they release the updated W7 version soon:) I'm happy with my 260 "216" that I picked up for £155, overclocked it zooms along nicely. The pennies I saved buying it over a GTX 275, will be utilised in my own mini-stimulus package, when the the DirectX11 card receive their first price cut, hopefully this time next year!
Now, lets just hope that these new 40nm parts, will provide a big boost in performance.
Was wondering is anyone else getting Run Dll error, when the driver is installed? I was trying to load on the newest one. Am ganna put the cd drivers on for now, and try the beta ones again tomorrow.
Got this card along with the Gigabyte GA-EX58-UD3R and quad q6700 to upgrade my 3 year old rig
I've gone from around 5000 to 14000 + marks on 3d mark. It might not be amazing compared to some people but it has made a HUGE difference to my gaming experience.
Many thanks to Bit-Tech for their reviews, really helped me :)
OK, just to clarify, if you were using rivertuner can you use the fan control to manually speed the fans on this card? Would that be a viable method of avoiding driver crashes?
Really intrested in buying a GTX275 for my new rig, and this particular one is the cheapest on Ebuyer, but I'd rather pay more than have a card that is continuously crashing due to overheating, but if I can avoid the crashes with rivertuner then that is perfect.
Any guidance would be greatly appreciated. Thank you in advance.
I have one of these now - bought it from a Novatech store for £157 with Batman Arkham Asylum and Terminator Salvation free with it, lots of power, but I'm getting nowhere near those scores with it - think my 275 is being held back by my stock Q6600. Unfortunately my motherboard (a striker extreme 680i) doesn't like overclocking it so a new CPU and motherboard are required.
One thing I don't like is the lack of backplate on this card compared to my old 260, so you have exposed solder and a bright red PCB, but it's not as if it is on show..

Having just upgraded from a 192 core GTX 260, I would have to disagree. The games that I have that aren't CPU limited - FSX, Crysis Warhead etc - are far more playable at maximum settings now.
Cex are currently buying GTX 260's for £90, Novatech are selling the 275 for £157 with Batman and Terminator Salvation. If you were going to buy Batman anyway, the card is only costing £37!

Good review by the way!

Dual-cores yes, quad cores no! 680i's are notorious for being unstable with quads.
