Ha nice one, just saved me £40. Was looking for a review on that, reminds me of the old zalman I had with a lcd screen that you could only view when sitting on the floor directly opposite the pc. What would you recommend for a fan controller for x5 120mms?

It looks a bit like it was made by someone who was responsible for car dashboards in the 80s

I have an Aerocool Touch1000 and it has none of these problems and costs less. No way to turn the screen off but my case has a door !

No one can make a decent touchscreen fan control it seems. If i win the lottery tonight, im gonna set up a business making proper bits for gamers by going through bit tech, reading whats **** and then improving it :)

Do this, the touch 1000 or the touch 2000 spin up to max on boot? (for cleaning the fans)

Does the touch 1000 or 2000 allow for gradients on fanspeed?

The viewing angles are supposed to be this way according to the aerocool website.

That DMX looks like the internet from the IT Crowd

Looks a bit fugly, not sure why they have to try and make everything touchscreen just for the sake of it. I mean once I found the sweet spot for all the fans they remain set, I don't need to keep tinkering with them so I've never seen the point in a massive screen to control fans.

TBH I prefer my bog standard twiddly knob, so to speak.

I had similar problems with an NZXT Sentinel LX a little while back. While the idea behind large LCDs and touch sensativity for fan control seems cool and futuristic, it's ultimately futile when you're basically just using fan controllers like toggle switches. Especially when before each gaming session you have to tap unlock, the fan you want, and then plus about 20 times.

Lamptron FCT (Fan Controller Touch)
Bought one and it doesn't let me down, and it works beautifully, just it will hit your wallet a bit harder than the Aerocool on review.

I recently installed this unit in my Lian Li 7fnw case and my experience of it is quite different to the review.
You can only see the screen template when it is off.
The display is crisp and clear and the touch screen is absolutely fine...I can only assume this was reviewed very quickly.
My PC sits on the desk just to the right of where I sit and the viewing angle is spot on.
I would recommend this unit and can post pics later on forum to prove it is just fine.
56% is an unfair score IMO
