Looks like these guys have really put some thought into their designs. I particularly like the locking compartment and the Survivor case is one id like to use for a mod.

If they can get them out at reasonable prices those look like great cases, the simple-but-effective route is very nice.

X2... I think that they have something good here, I hope the prices are good :)

Looks interesting indeed, I just hope the build quality is high enough. Some of the pics aren't very promising.

HexusTV did a quick video on this. The survivor sparked my interest because its ruggerizing its case.

They have some innovative ideas with the cable routing and the locking mechanism. The top lock box reminds me of a CD spindle storage thing in my friend's old HP desktop that would hide in the same place.

The Colossus looks awesome, especially in white bit there is too much colour bleed in the front fascia. They should have made it from alu, not plastic.

Looking promising. Heres a video of the prototype if anyone's interested.

colossus - no
survivor - yes

i would think about getting one of these for any future lan gaming rig.

The survivor is really cool, it has a great matte look, unfortunately the colossus is every bit as unappealing as the survivor is cool!

I like the colossus, but I'm definitely of the opinion it should only have the one wave along the sides. as it is, it's a bit much. Also, it would look awesome with a white LED option!

survivor looks ok. Not entirely sold on the amount of mesh, but it's good to see something different.

All in all BitFenix win!

when ur chilling out in a dark room, playing a game, watching a movie. you don't want this epic blue light distracting you.
murraynt 6th June 2010, 13:07 Quote
hope they make a version of the Colossus with none of the groves and sell it cheaper, that would be a pretty slick(er) case then

More space for (very) long graphics cards in the Survivor pleeease.

Otherwise, very nice.

I really like the look of the Survivor. If they'd make an optional non-mesh side panel, it' d be even better.

Bindi, you don't be any chance have a shot of the top cover of the Survivor?

Tell that to all the hordes of insane gentlemen that absolutely adore bling in their PC.

There's a reason why there're so many LED fans around.

The colossus is a joke, no unit will leave the shelves
steve30x 6th June 2010, 16:45 Quote
I realy dont like how much light that first case emits. I dont have any LED fans in my case because I dont like my case to glow in the dark.

Which is why you should READ first before posting comments like this. it says in the article that the lights are controllable and can be turned off. Personally I think its a brilliant idea. Best of both worlds.
spectre456 6th June 2010, 17:07 Quote
the colossus should be renamed the Dead Space case
Lockon Stratos 6th June 2010, 17:24 Quote
if they made the lights SOUND reactive then i might consider it. otherwise Its a lot cheaper for me to go to my closest maplins & get a a Cathode set.

its kick ass having the lights flash as explosions & gunfire go off. otherwise both cases do nothing for me. the lightshow is just a gimmick that every 5y/o kid wants on his pc.
greigaitken 6th June 2010, 17:39 Quote
good to see some innovation and new ideas into cases. Even though i wouldnt buy any of those over my stacker, i hope these guys make some money
crayfish 6th June 2010, 17:50 Quote
Colossus looks like Dead Space.

Now that ive seen more of the colossus i can say i hate it, it looks seriously cheap and tacky imo, The survivor on the other hand has me interested, its just about perfect for my second rig and looks sweet.
HandMadeAndroid 6th June 2010, 18:44 Quote
colossus = 1980s animation , maybe thundercats, ugly
survivor = interesting
Nikols 6th June 2010, 19:41 Quote
Agree with the post that nobody wants loads of shiny lights when ur kicking back watching a movie and can see the lights of the colossus being switched off permanantly which makes them pointless as well as garish. It appears to be styling over substance with the lack of side fans. While the survivor is the prettier of the the two, the use of all that mesh is alarming from a potential noise and dust collecting perpective. If you get down to basics good cases achieve the best noise supression, cooling and cable managment. It is these elements that win reviews not flash lights. I have to say I'm surprised at what bitFenix have churned out given the talent onboard. I don't know why but I had thought that given free reign under a new company the designers would have tried to bring the quality of the likes of the cosmos pure or the corsair 800D to the masses as to my mind the direction that these cases have taken are the future of case design. Both have supposed issues with negative air pressure and hard drive cooling which I'd loved to have seen bitFenix solve in their offering.
