As mentioned earlier, I think this looks like a good, cheap base for a modding project. Buy the case then spend what you save on water-cooling, modifying the side panel to correctly position the fan etc.

After all, modding a mass-market product should be about correcting a flawed design. It has unrealised potential.

Bit inconsistant?

Hideous looking, just another midi- sized 'box' with a hinged front panel. I'd like to see some reviews on the ENlight cases, I have the EN 4116 & its a beautiful little case for a matx system.

I've seen worse. A certain pink HAF 922 springs to mind.

Ok their company name is NZXT.

The name of the product is Hades.

I think you guys are missing the point, these guys love their brutalistic design. I like it. Please forward on my comment, and add it to the review as i think its essential

*pop*
now time to get my head out of my ass, I think its alright, the above comment is relivant however the realistic designer inside me is crying as the front facia could have been prettyfied, however the market demographic its aiming the product at makes it sit squarely at LEET PRO WOW GAYMERS MW2 NOOBTUBERS.

I would buy it :3

It's a limitation of the scoring system tbh - in the rare case of a critical flaw, we can't really reduce any other score than features and the overall score. So while it does indeed have lots of features, the side panel fan means you can't take advantage of these as you probably wouldn't buy it...

Looks are far less of a concern than cooling so even if it hit a few more branches when it fell out of the ugly tree as bulldogjeff put it - if it didn't have the issue with the side panel fan, it would have scored far higher and probably be in our top five recommended cases.

Now when I look at it again, it really seems to me that NZXT is aiming at the low end watercooling crowd.

Lack of space for tall CPU cooling towers + 2X120 rad space...

Frankly I think most of you have no taste at all. This a good looking case. I'm really glad that I didn't read this review before deciding on the Hades case as it might have affected my decision. Fortunately most other reviews were positive.

I have a high end processor, lots of RAM, five hard drives, two optical drives and two video cards including a full sized ENGTX275 and lots of cabling especially from the Corsair PSU. None of these components caused any issues. It runs cool using standard equipment even under stress. My only real issue is the placement of the front ports in the top of the case but I don't use them much anyway.

Really one has no business reviewing a lower priced case using somewhat custom componentry.

Whomever is designing these NZXT cases needs to start over, have a competition for the next generation of cases, coz these ones are sooooo terrible, even for $80 they look shocking, standard chassis with terrible front covers. Whoever designed the rogue get them back coz that case style has so many possibilities even a tower version of it would be great.

I don't think it looks tooooo bad, but not being able to fit decent CPU coolers makes it worthless.

I have this case. Don't buy this case.

The top is plain and looks like they have dremeled out the mesh effect, left it and thought, that will do.
The door is annoying. When the disc drive opens, it keeps getting caught and then it destroys the disc drive. The cable management grommets will fall apart in your hands. Putting external watercooling holes into this case was a gross overestimation. Only the front fan has Leds, the standard fans are white and the feet fall off if there's the slightest bit of friction between them and the floor.
