CLIP -it was something far simpler, far more fundamental.

The screws didn’t fit together.

Don’t ask us why and don’t accuse us of being simpletons - CLIP

One more reason I love my simple case... Everything is universal!

And I guess I dont get the whole $400+ case thing... its a metal box that holds your parts together... You could use a cardboard box if it was corrugated enough!

It looks fine, apart from its massive 'bump' on the top.. ew.

Lian-li used to be the case manufacturer of choice for people that prefer good looking cases without stupid wanna be leet kiddy style bling bling while at the same time clearly telling every stranger that sees it "you cant afford me"...

in my opinion they simply ruined their reputation by giving in to the wishes of some 12 year olds and releasing such an ugly case as the armorsuit.

i honestly think its an ugly bugger. seems efficient tho.

yep, it's a love or hate... I think I'm strange because I quite like it, but don't love it. :p

My first impression is that it's a visual abomination. :D

Ditto

Ugliest Lian Li I've ever seen. No way I'd spend money on it.

Nice cooling, but it dont half look danm ugly :(
Now if they did one in matt black, and without the silly side window, and without the bump on the top, or at the very least make the bump cover the entire top, and make it suitable to host a 360x120mm randiator

As it stands, id not part my cash for it.

they have what you ask for, the Pc-a71, enough room in the top for a tripple rad (due to psu in the bottom), is avalaible in black and doesnt have the wanna be bling bling trash of the armorsuit.

It's huge and hideous no matter how I try to look at it. Darn you Lian-Li.
Bindibadgi 25th February 2008, 09:39 Quote
Everyone wants a black fridge, no one wants red!

Hiren owned a red lian a while back - it looked gorgeous.
Jayturn 25th February 2008, 09:40 Quote
I think they sent you a joke case!
mattymoo 25th February 2008, 09:47 Quote
I wouldn't touch this myself; though I was impressed to see the red colour flowing throughout the whole case. People who suggest it's ugly (right as they are) need to bear in mind that "armoursuit" suggests function over beauty. You never heard a soldier complain that his armoured vehicle looked ugly despite the fact it was allowing him to get down a street with a gun fight going on.
[WP@]WOLVERINE 25th February 2008, 09:48 Quote
this was the worst looking Lian Li case ive ever seen. The thing on the top looks absolutely awful and the only thing worse than that is the absolutely horrid sidepanel. To me it seems like the wind of insanity has blown through the lian li designdepartement and knocked the whole team on their asses.
Bindibadgi 25th February 2008, 09:55 Quote
So, you all like it then?

To be honest, I'd love to see someone mod this :)
K.I.T.T. 25th February 2008, 09:59 Quote
it'd be a nice case if they swapped out that horrific side window (with or without the ATi branding) for a nice sensible one and changed from that horrific shade of red

Yeah, the black version is much nicer IMO... and it comes with a plain black sidepanel. That was the one we asked for, but we got the other one. :(

Heh, someone's linked the Take Two news article to the Lian Li review thread. Regarding the Lian Li, it's certainly not to my taste.

Tis a shame, I like the restrained look of many of their other models.
FragileSocks 25th February 2008, 10:08 Quote
Yak. In need of a respray and removal of the ugly front and top.
alastor 25th February 2008, 10:19 Quote
I dunno, I quite like the red really. Get rid of the window and if I had £200 to spend on a case (hahaaa) then I'd go for it.

£200 is an awful lot of money to pay for a case only to cut it into pieces for modding, but I know what you mean. It's not the best looking of cases, but it has potential
