Nice....but im still going to wait for the 560 in Q1 2011, which i think will be the best card available price/performance wise for under £200.

I'd like some numbers on how loud the top 10 cards are under load - rather than "oh I can sorta hear it".

i don't like indistinguishable 570, i want my 580 to look mean.

progress is good. now i can't wait to see what ATI is cooking for so long.

I hope they haven't over cooked it :D...

Nvidia sure do seem to be back on top after the tragic release of the 480gtx.

A mid high range card that beats a 5970 in real world tests (who doesn't put AA and tesselation on when playing games with these cards?). Impressive

Don't think i'll be upgrading anytime soon i'll keep my 470 tbh :)

Seems like a pretty good card. Will wait for 69xx reviews before passing judgement tho.

I'm actually impressed. Good to see Nvidia back on form. Lets hope the ATI/AMD offering is also good so we can have some price wars hehe.

All you're seeing here is the cards the 480 and 470 were supposed to be.

It's nice to see cards being released with good quality stock coolers, finally.

I can now look at the upper end of the range without thinking "add £40 for a decent cooler".

Nice work, nVidia. I wonder how well will the 69xx compare?

None available on scan even if did want one*. Actually several sites point out that the 570 makes the 580 look bad value for money while at the sametime struggling in the value stakes against the 5870 and the 5970.

*that literally just changed to the evga for a fiver short of £300.

So? That doesn't change the fact they're still decent cards and every bit as good as ATI's offerings at this current time.

This is a fair point, with HD 5870's floating around for sub £200 price tags now making it stonking value. The thing is, these cards are now end of life, so e retailers clearing their shelves and when they're gone, they're gone.

Wonder if a 2gb version of this card will be released for SLI? Also any folding results?

That EVGA card looks nice.
I hate seeing cartoon characters on my GPUs and crazy graphics. I think the EVGA one looks well balanced.
fingerbob69 7th December 2010, 19:57 Quote
@baz

There's a site called lambda-tek(sp?) who have 80 in stock@£248 ...for example. And AMD are gonna have their 69xx's out way before those, on that one site, sell out.
runadumb 7th December 2010, 19:59 Quote
What does Nvidia have against displayport? Include displayport damn it!

Agree completely, and they seem pretty serious about customer service which is worth is weight in gold.

ookkaaay

but its 3d vision and 3 monitor sli that I need in a review to decide what to get....
DragunovHUN 7th December 2010, 20:13 Quote
When did the game testing change? Seems like this line-up is less power hungry compared to previous reviews
frontline 7th December 2010, 21:14 Quote
Nice card, looks great value compared to a 580. Will be interesting to see if the 6950 & 6970 can compete with the 570/580 and force a bit of a price war. I hope so.
