its nice to hear fellas, and whilst in the back of my mind i hoped this was the case, one can't help but be sceptical and ask the question as a junior poster on the forum.

Skepticism is good - at least then you can critically read many articles to get the full picture. I never recommend just reading just one review.

After the last MK game? No chance.

That's why I said old school :P

In fact, our editorial team is in a completely separate office to sales and no one here downstairs ever deals with anything but reviews :) Other sites may have different arrangements but we certainly wouldn't have come this far without this attitude.

We're all FAR too cynical and the Taiwanese couldn't afford us anyway :P hahaha :D When I make a post about driving a Ferrari to work - then ask again.

If somethings good, we'll say it's good, but if it's a turd we'll tell them that too - but also give some constructive criticism for a better product next time. There's no merit to anyone to just slag something off unless it's so far off the mark it's stupid, in which case we won't review it anyway because it wastes our time and your time. :)

this is the exact reason why bit-tech wins so much. ;)

Does anyone know when this case will be available for purchase or how much it will cost? Are there any other independent reviews going on out there somewhere?

Joe

Yeh it's good to know this is well moderated (although I should have chose not to respond also!) and it did take me to Joe's great article, so it wasn't all bad :)

I'm still keeping an eye out for any more news/reviews and a UK price/dealer and will be sure to post my finds on here as soon as I do!

I've taken to modding my daughters pc now while I wait for more news on this case! (itchy, nerd like fingers and all that)

I've just found a review for the new Lian Li PC-V350, thought I would share....

I can't believe the reviewer had problems with the drive mounts.

Too stupid to read the directions, or just too stupid?
Quote CardJoe 18th October 2007, 07:55
Actually the case didn't come with any directions and the screws and grommets were all either loose or unmarked. It makes it difficult to realise you have to take off both side panels and slot the drive in from the far side, locking it down - a method which is vastly different to any I've seen regularly before and which doesn't seem to offer any improvment.

There's no need for that. Throw abuse at staff (or members) again and you can take a break.

Argh, I need a new chassis and don't know whether this is 'the one'.

Not sure about the side panels going out like that. Can think it would get annoying, like when you try to fit it on the end of your desk.

I know Lian Li's look nice but substance over form should be the thinking behind a good case. But I need a nice light aluminium case :-) my P180 is so heavy :(.

And what happened to the forums? Since I was last here they've got all... shiney...

Thought I'd resurrect this thread a bit...

I finally decided to go for this case (£135 from Kustom PCs) along with the Lian Li EX-23N HDD Bay which holds 3 hard discs in 2 CD rom bays with an 80mm fan on which will leave the 2 front 120mm fans air-way free, where I might add watercooling at a later date...

http://www.lian-li.com/v2/tw/product/EX-23N-b.jpg

I'll post some snaps when it arrives and I have it all set up (making the most of the cable management.. eh Joe :D).

Here's another buyers review of it:

Strengths
Cable clips, motherboard tray, design, fans, hard drive tray, clean, quiet.

Weaknesses
Running cables through holes on the motherboard tray makes getting the tray out to do any maintenance hard, but keeps the case clean. Also gets dirty fast. Expensive.

Summary
Case is a work of art, beautifully designed, the air brushed aluminum looks fantastic, cold blue ring adds an element of class. Extremely quiet, dampened down the stock cooler on my video card and CPU almost to the point where I wasn't going to bother with any additional items. Great add on for any computer, only problem is the price, but that seems worth it after having it in front of me.

My turn... I just ordered a PC-B25 for my upcoming build. Going to be a little bit before I order everything else but I couldn't resist. :) Coming from a PC-71 (going to turn that into a file server).

Anybody have any updated thoughts?
Quote General Crespin 16th April 2008, 18:29
The hard drive cage is rather flimsy, other than that I'm pleased. :) The rest of the components come in tomorrow and Friday, looking forward to putting everything together come Saturday.

With LiLi's, you get what you pay for though. Well-worth it.
