It's a lot cheaper than it would have been three weeks ago, but it's still rather too expensive for my tastes... of course, that doesn't stop me wanting one. :D
Great article as ever Tim B)
Its nice to see nVidia lowering prices, it makes me wonder what it is that ATI/AMD are going to do, looks to me like nVidia keeping the trophy for a while.
Makes me wish I had money. Good article. And here I am pinching pennies getting ready for the inevitable upgrade to an 8800GTS320...or should I do the 640..
Oh well, while I sit here and ponder this more and more intersting stuff will come out and tempt me.
The card is overkill, the price is overkill and the stuff in the package is shortcomming. I would appreciate at least a dvi to hdmi plug, powerplugs to connect the card to an existing psu. And a card that oozes ULTRA all over, so you can brag about it!
Bring in a dual 8800GTS setup: more powerfull and cheaper and available everywhere for great pricefighting deals. And it looks cool in your rig also.
Now IF they would make the price of the ultra so that a faster dual GTS cardcombo is way more expensive the a single ultra. Then i would probably going to think about it. But still not buy the ultra because it is slower anyways...
