Hm. The extra spacing between those four USB ports (where the Parallel port used to be) will be useful. More than once I've had some USB peripheral or another block the second port. Which can prove to be a bit of a pain...

yakyb: aren't the X6800s Quad?

Tim & Bindi: I'm not majorly audio techie and I can understand the basics of the audio graphs (jagged lines = worse) but can we please have at least a brief description of WTF is going on, what's being tested and why?

Great review, looks like a nice board all round tbh.
Paradigm, I know what you mean about lack of space round USBs, its caught me out in the past as well. :D

Got some typos for you Tim (sorry to be so pedantic :D).
Feel free to edit this post once they're fixed. :)

Bindi Edit: Awesome! Ta :D

Yaky: Maybe on the next P35 :)

Doug: I'll send you a PM later.

And for everyone: I know I missed Power Consumption now I'll drop it in later.

it's hard to find the coaxial S/PDIF pin out on the board layout side
only the picture on the last side helped me with that.
I miss one of those red arrows there and at the floppy port (i found this one :D )

Fair do's! I'll make sure to remember them in future :)

They're both at the very bottom ;)

What a polite review and quality product. How were the mobo temps in comparison to Gig's 6 Quad?

I have been wondering about this board since it came up on the ads, was like wow, look at those heatpipes.

Power Consumption figures added. :) I had to wrestle the board off the guys at TR for 20 minutes cause they were using it now.
Quote Mankz. 15th June 2007, 13:37
Someone over at XS forums has got one of these to very reliably hit 600fsb with air cooling, no vMods and a ghetto 80mm delta shoved onto the heatpipes.

If thats the case, it could be a very popula OC'ing board eventually.
