I fell in love with the 830 since I first saw it, and even had it as my desktop photo on my other PC after I was using an 830 for my gaming PC. The 832 escalates my desires even more seeing as the black aluminium just hits the spot in case heaven. Of the cases I own, it used to be Lian-Li that I loved more (PC-65B and V600) but Cooler Master has definitely made me change my mind (830 and Wavemaster, lust for CM mainly cuz of the 830 though).
The original stacker was great but the revisions since then have just watered down the design by adding superfluous lumps of plastic. Coolermaster live off the reputation they built up in the ATC days and their recent cases have been almost universally dire in the looks department.

Mismatched cultural references? Not likely. My family originally hails from Ireland and there are plenty of celtic crosses like this dotted around the land. Theres one in Carndonnagh if I remember which is at least a century old.
They originally had different origins perhaps, but I think its probably accepted that they've incorporated each other into a facet of celtic art.
Like a scotsman playing football - just because football didn't come from scotland doesn't mean it can't quickly become part of their culture.
Besides, strictly speaking its not a crucifix unless theres someone nailed to it.
When my 830 evo turns up I will give you a guided tour! I like the big black mesh on the 830's door, I think taking that away makes it look worse. The 832 would look awful in sliver where as imo the silver 830 evo has a nice contrast between black and silver.
For my part, I am simply unable to find a case that I really like on the market right now. I don't think that the stacker is a nice piece of furniture in a room; it has jagged lines and large bits of black plastic. Most cases seem targeted at the teen gamer market; I want something a little more chic. Lian Li have made a good start, but the cases are horrendously expensive and a little too far on the dull side.
In terms of cases that I think are genuinely nice objects to have in a room, I think that at the moment the best can be found in the HTPC arena. Pity that I want a tower...

Not sure you could say the Lian Li V1000(or V2000) is either dull or aimed at the teen gamer market. Personally i think the V1000 in silver is the coolest looking stock case I've seen. Although I'm biased :P

Fugly indeed.
I agree with you. the original satckers almost looked like lian li cases in style with some small modifications, but the new series are full of plastic SH**
this may not exactly be the right place, but it would be interesting to see what would result if the enthusiast community at large wrote a specification for a full-ATX case.
by specification, I mean a list of whats needed/wanted in the design.

Reply... i think you mean grateful?
either that or 'how gracious _they_ were'...
looks like a nice case though :D
It's FUGLY Imho.
Madness!
Must... resist... 300... joke...
I have to agree, very fudgy cases.
Fugly indeed.
to be honest i prefer the restrained looks of the antec p180 or most of the lian li cases far more agreeable to my taste

AFAIK.
the 830 evo seems more of a new version than the 832 from what I've seen.
I still love the case series though.
(and the blue custom paint is just fugly)

:) :) :) :)
The 832 does look interesting though, I certainly prefer the new front and I've been wanting the 830 for a while.
