So max 3840 × 2400 @ 41 Hz I guess, but 41 Hz is quite low... Compared to the 3840x1024 on the Triplehead2Go, but I guess at a higher frequency then 41 Hz

yeh i was thinking of 2560 × 1600

Any idea where/when i can get one of these in the UK? its prety much perfect for my (sinister) plans.
Enak 15th April 2006, 23:53 Quote
They are not available just yet... shop.matrox.com is the place to look though.

I called Matrox in the UK and asked to speak to sales. I was told that the TripleHead2Go is now delayed until the start of May!

Why the delay with this product? Anyone have any info?

Like many others I've been waiting a couple of months for this products release and it is a bit disappointing to hear it's been put back.

Good things come to those who wait...

I think i will definitely be getting one to go with my tri-monitor setup, its prety much perfect for what i need.

incidently, its available for pre-order now on shop.matrox:

http://shop.matrox.com/europe/products/datasheet.asp?ID=282

Although it labels the aproximate shiping date as may the 12th, so it may be a wait...

I think crossfire is the better choice for multi screens as i know there aren't any issues like with Nvidia for sli and 2 monitors, I read an article where a guy had hooked up 12 screens to his crossfire platform

(used it for flight simulator, wrap around view)
Enak 3rd May 2006, 23:15 Quote
Unfortunately, there are very few games that support multimonitor in this fashion...

Matrox is the only surround solution to support popular games such as half-life 2, quake 4, oblivion, etc.

This kind of thing really floats my boat, I'd love it, however.

The turn off on this for me is the same turn off with the 30" widescreen LCDs. You're gonna have to upgrade your GFX card much more often to be able to run the latest games at the native resolutions (pretty high for both). Atleast, that's my thoughts.
AJB2K3 12th May 2006, 20:02 Quote
yes but think about this.
Using the triple head means you only have one card to drive 3 monitors so only 1 card needed to upgrade.

The article suggests using an SLI setup, so two cards to upgrade.
yahooadam 13th May 2006, 00:55 Quote
considering the resolution you have to drive

SLI is probably required to run at like medium settings

hi guys,noob here

which make of Gcard you use imho doesn't matter as long as it supports 3840X1024 for the TH2G and is beefy enough ,the TH2G is seen as a monitor as far as your PC is concerned ;)

i bought the best i could in LCD just for the TH2G
(best affordable that is at £250 each)
viewsonic 19 inch VX922 with 2mS rate
funny enough my PC desk which i made myself(8 ft wide by 4 ft deep ) now looks positively barren since my 21 inch CRT was removed

can't wait for the TH2G to be released
Kaboom22 23rd May 2006, 13:10 Quote
Anyone else got one on pre-order? it says on the website that it was being dispatched on the 22nd of may, but i havent heard anything from them.
dognosh 24th May 2006, 11:10 Quote
i rang them
they said that is an error, they are expecting delivery to CORK IRELAND this week and don't expect to ship them to retailers till next week sometime, so if you pre ordered then it could be 2nd week of june by the time you get it if retailers pre ordered their lot before you guys(and depends on numbers too)

take it with a pinch of salt, for all we know the pre ordered peeps might get them sooner ;)

oh and reason for the delay?
one was a new feature,to allow it to work as a DUALHEAD(2 screens only)
which i won't be using
Kaboom22 24th May 2006, 16:16 Quote
Well if they are adding new features, i wont be too upset :-)

I pre-ordered directly from their shop, so hopefully i should get it fairly early.

I'd be interested in seeing your setup once you have the device, and comparing notes :)

[QUOTE=dognosh]logitech G15 and the 3 displays minus the TH2G :'(

very nice setup there, but i always go for the larger wide screen LCD, no multi monitor i find the gpas to distracting and only one GPU to upgrade
dognosh 24th May 2006, 18:22 Quote
the "gapless" LCDs are coming online, sony has one but it's still expensive so i reckon within 1 year we will see them at normal prices ;)

there is a big difference between widescreen and multimonitor
widescreen is just that, wide screen, but multi monitor, when supported, doesn't stretch the current image but actually gives you about a 45 degree field of view ;)

and i've been told angling the 2 outer monitors makes a HUGE difference
and TH2G has support from 150 or more current games

lets see, hope it's all it's cracked up to be
Enak 24th May 2006, 22:10 Quote
You won't be disappointed :D
yahooadam 25th May 2006, 00:29 Quote
that looks pretty sweet
but isnt the TH2G like a month off still ...

id be so pissed have 2 screens not in use :p
dognosh 25th May 2006, 08:47 Quote
naah,i do drawings of various scenes in the game i am playing and stick them on the screen flinstone fashion :D
seriously, yes sometimes it's a pain but motorbike season is upon us in the UK,ok so someone forgot to tell the weather :'( ,so i am racing this weekend and busy over the next month, time will go by quickly

Kaboom22 26th May 2006, 23:49 Quote
Got mine today, although i havent really had time to play with it properly

The few games ive tried work nicely in widescreen, but the HUD really messes up.

Small problems i noticed is that the box runs really hot (to the point i cant keep my hand on it), and that there is ghosting on all the monitors (although that could just be my bad cables).

I still need to finish building my monitor arm, but i will post alot more of my experiences when i update my project log.
