Glad I got the game before reading the review. I've played over 15 hours up to now and still loving the game. The graphics are great; bright and warn instead of Fallout's boring brown colours. The quests are not repetitive, and they certainly do not involve going through the same warehouse/cave etc all the time like Dragon Age 2. There are some really stand out emotional points, such as discussing killing a 10 year old girl who has been bitten but has not turned yet (listen to the radio when in the city).

The game is not perfect though. Fortunately I have not run into any of the bugs people have talked about so far. However weapons degrade very quickly, switching weapons is a real pain and there are some points that disconnect the role playing. E.g. near the start they refer to your character as "he" even if you are playing a female character.

Overall though I give this game 90%. If you like Just Cause 2 then I recommend this game.

I got hold of this installed it, and then played it for 2 hour's solid and uninstalled it, the graphic's are a joke and not to mention the stupid control's.

Swinging the bat's and hammor's etc a thousand times and hit them twice, makes the hit detection on this game worse than on Black Op's which I thought was impossible to make something worse.

Sorry but I cannot recommend this to anybody not even a zombie killing fan as it's just to annoying.

I cannot understand developers lately graphic's from 5 or more years ago, limited story line or non existent and stupid control's.

I`m on my 4th play through, and still have not found the fourth skull(not the damned village quest), guess i`ll be resorting to youtube. lots of bugs, but i`m enjoying it. steam says ive put in 180 hrs, just checked the statistics and its 164hrs, I would dearly have loved for more zombies, they seem to congregate in batches of 5, why no hordes. Even the most basic game play and you`l complete it.

Are you playing the console version? I am playing the PC version at 1920*1080 with all graphics at maximum and in my opinion the graphics are amazing. Not up to the original Crysis standard, but a lot nicer than a lot of "realistic" gloomy brown tinted graphics found in a lot of FPS games.

I would have thought that made it obvious, but: Yes. I'm playing the PC version at the moment too, but my thoughts run mostly the same.

The front page does say "gaming>xbox 360"

Just another zombie game; pretty much dead rising 2 but on an island and just as repetitive
