reminds me of the early, fantastic platform games i played on the Mac Plus as a kid, such as 'Dark Castle'. i would've thought serious gamers (PC users) would be more into this sort of thing than pimply console noobs.

One 'always' too much there?
Hoping for a Steam release as well, I love this kind of games that are a bit surreal.
This is my personal game of the year, even Mass Effect 2 can't touch this masteripiece. Yeah sure its short, expensive but is so intesive and so great, that can be hardly described by words, you have to experienced by yourself...
Sorry guys, but don't expect to see Limbo on the PS3 or PC. Ever.
It's part of 2010's Summer of Arcade, an annual Microsoft event where they release 5 games over the course of 5 weeks. All games are Xbox exclusives and stay that way (aside from 2009's Marvel vs. Capcom 2 which was a remake).
Not any more, there is still hope!

Because Microsoft gives them a ton of money not to. The developers also usually get a 'sweetheart' deal for their next game if they allow Microsoft to publish it.
As with all Microsoft projects, if there's one thing they're good at, it's throwing money at things.
Had a play on the demo last night and actually enjoyed it more than I expected (for the record I hate Braid soooo much). Probably not going to buy it for the current price though as it looks to me like I may get stuck somewhere along the way, get really frustrated with it, throw the controller at the floor and never play it again. Also I had to turn eco-mode off on my TV as it was so dark I couldn't see any of the traps even with brightness in game on the highest setting.
Will keep an eye on it and see if it ends up on any sales.

I don't think so.
Braid and Bionic Commando Rearmed are Summer of Arcade Games from 2008.
Both are now also available for PC.
So there is still some hope for a PC release. ;)

Oh wow, never realised they changed their policy. Nice spot. ;)
Now I wonder if devs still blow their publishing deal if they release their games on another platform...

Nope - I read that the exclusivity on the xbox is only for ~6 weeks on XBL for summer of arcade games - after that they can release for other platforms as they wish (i think i read this on shacknews).

Being released on the 360 is a mistake because most 360 owners only want Halo C.O.D. Gears or GTA (see Alan Wake sales figures)
It might be true that most 360 owners only want the usual shooter / action games, but I'd argue in return that most PC users (going by the numbers) only want Farmville, WoW or The Sims. There's a "hardcore" on both sides who want to try imaginative new games on their favourite platform. I'm not convinced this would sell much more on PC than on 360. It would be nice to have the option, sure, but please don't use your disappointment as an excuse to slag off console gamers as a whole.

I wouldn't pay £10, but half that would have me interested (on PC).
It works in Braid ;)

Some devious puzzles to solve though; had me scratching my head on more than one occasion.
How about a pc release....
