I really enjoyed the first game (apart from the flag collecting, far too many and I'm still missing 1 last flag in the main "no-man's land" area). Looking forward to this one too.
As long as you can actually stealth assassinate the appropriate targets in this one I'll cope with it. That one in the hospital in the 1st game was seriously annoying.
I loved the freedom the first game gave you, despite teh repetitiveness, I will be definitely be giving this one a go.
@Fabler - The graphic quality should be around about the same as PS3 as Assassin's creed is a console game at heart. However the PC version will allow you to turn on AA like the original (perhaps even AF this time). As far as I know the PS3 is capped at 30FPS so it will be able to produce some very nice pictures without falling under that thresh hold.

Amazing the first one was so average at best, it sold like 6 million copies, hope the second one is better, outside the graphcis the first one got old after about 2 missions. Console gamers eat up average games, lol. Got creed 1 for 5 bucks on Direct 2 drive, gald thats all i spent on it.
If the game features unskippable 5 minute long custscenes again i may well practise some of those assassination techniques at ubisoft HQ. Loved the first game, although a bit more replayability would have been nice.
The first game was extremely dull and i found it difficult to play if I had left it a while, as I'd forgotten all the special combos needed by then, and ended up button-mashing. If the game had been more interesting, I might have been able to play it long enough to develop some proper attack techniques. I experienced alot of frustrating gameplay, so although this second one might indeed be better, I've been put off the series permanently and I won't be getting the second one at all.
flying? loved the first one- the counters made it a bit too easy though.. once you got the counters you could pull them off and everyone would stand around watching- something like batmans combat system would work better imo
other than that.. like krikket pointed out the hospital- I kinda liked all that.. I'm not sure how they don't recognize you as an assassin wearing a hood and missing a finger- but still fun

ReplyThe period chosen is refreshingly new, and from the previews seen on Youtube I'm enthusiastic that this will be better than the first.
