There is no such song as 'Death Magnetic'!

At last, someone who believes that £85 to £135 is a fair wedge to put out for controllers only useful for a handful of games. It is a bit of a rip off. I like the idea of wireless drums though :)

I think Game were doing a free pedal if you pre-ordered the game. Not sure how much it costs on its own, though.

I only picked up GHWT because I traded in my severly underused Wii and the few games I'd bought for it - I couldn't have justified the cost otherwise.

I've still got a bit left over from that trade - I might pick up the Metallica game after all.

Its a shame metallica suck.
Quote Blackmoon181 31st May 2009, 13:20
the inclusion of a second bass pedal does seem interesting for the skilled drummer. What next though ? extra toms and cymbals and the

drumkit shall resemble something like the purple monster ! and cost the same :P

As do unproductive forums posts which bring nothing to an article discussion. Who'd have thought if you don't like Metallica, you wouldn't like the game!?

Replace them with Metallica fan's, or turn them into fans and the world will be a better place ;)

I've tried, but unless they release an album in a radically folky direction I doubt Joe would bite.

Good luck with that, they're just focused on * Hero games. DJ Hero soon, GH: Lego, they're planning up to #6

Why should they stop making GH games when theres a huge following and the games keep the cash flowing in. I love both rockband and guitar hero and i for one want them to keep em coming.
Quote Blademrk 31st May 2009, 22:02
me too, I love the GH games. Just wish I could play the Metallica one that's sitting on my desk...

perhaps I should try nicking my brothers elite. Hmmm....

I actually don't like this game and I'm a big metallica fan, I don't know what it is about it I just don't like it, I've not tried drumming as I play on the wii and use the rock band drums, I have a chipped wii so imported it from the US ages ago. Maybe I'm just too used to RB2 to like GH:M enough.

I think the Lego game is Rock Band based, but with Guitar Hero 5, DJ Hero, Band Hero, Guitar Hero: Modern Hits, and no doubt some other band specific GH games as well, there's still plenty more to come!
Quote DougEdey 31st May 2009, 23:21
Well may be. It just upsets me to see a company like Activision no longer looking for New IPs :(
Quote Shadowed_fury 31st May 2009, 23:46
Getting this asap, looks immense.
DJ hero actually looks sweet too :)

As a Metallica fan I thoroughly enjoy this game, and whilst I can play through most tracks quite happily on "hard" and some on "expert", there are some very unforgiving tracks in this one. I really love the GH games, and they are among very few games that I can play along with the missus, and that we both enjoy. She still outplays me on certain tracks (I'm looking at you "Through the fire and flames"), but on a whole we're pretty evenly matched. Looking forward to any future GH titles.

Yeah, so many classic killer songs, they suck eh? Why post here then? Metallicas first 5 albums are nothing short of amazing, regardless what you think of them today. Several of their albums can easily be placed in the top 5 metal albums of all time (Puppets, Lightning, Justive, even black).

The only thing I don't like is some of the songs they included like:
The thing that should not be over say No remorse, Blackened, Ride the Lightning, Damage Inc.
Quote Lepermessiah 2nd June 2009, 13:25
Anyway, metallicas songs are surely difficult to play, at least their heavier tunes, this game is a great challenge, trying to play Dyers Eve or Disposeable heroes on hard or expert = me getting owned. Not a fan of rhythm games, but the difficulty of the songs and classic tracks make this one worth it.
Quote jodah175 2nd June 2009, 17:46
double kick pedals eh? bout frakking time...
Quote Plastic_Manc 2nd June 2009, 22:14
The one thing I don't get about GH is that playing the drums on it requires the same skills as ACTUALLY playing the drums so why not just do that? I get the guitar element as I wish guitars only had 5 buttons in order to be played well.
Quote talladega 2nd June 2009, 22:47
Have they made a GH game where you can import songs from the previous GH games yet? That's what I like about Rock Band. Pay $5 and you can play RB1 songs in RB2. I hope they continue that. I think it's so stupid you have to buy so many GH games and change discs just to play a couple different songs.

METALLICA FTW!
