First PC games get dragged down due to console and now they get even more simplified due to tablets.

Agreed. Why would anyone want to play this when there are plenty of titles already where you can employ grand strategies and co-ordinate combined arms in real time... We need more games like SupCom (forget SupCom II), with it's straight forward yet complex and engaging gameplay, that take years to master, not this made-to-order drivel. Looking forward to Planetary Annihilation, and that RPG/RTS Chris Taylor's been working on for the last couple years.
I think at some point since 2006/2007 as soon as 'smart' things came out we all started to become simpler species. By 2135 we will be totally covered in hair and swinging in trees again with our samsung galaxy 3000's
