Our initial thoughts when we checked out Tomb Raider last year were admittedly a bit mixed. We certainly approved of the direction Square Enix seemed to be moving the series in, but we remained unconvinced by overly scripted and QTE-reliant gameplay.
Can someone explain to me why anyone would think QTEs in games are acceptable in any way? wtf are developers thinking?
I recently played BF3, and would have given it a reasonable score, if it wasn't so mind-numbingly reliant on these pointless "wait for it... wait... NOW! Tap E repeatedly!" moments.
CoH2 is one of the games I'm looking forward to this year, and I'd agree with CrazyJoe having just played Metro 2033 I'm certainly going to be keeping an eye on Last Light.
Along with most the other games mentioned in the thread, I'm definitely looking forward to ARMA 3.
I'm hoping The Last Guardian sees a release this year as well.
Edit:
Watch Dogs should be a good addition to the semi-open world games like GTA/Sleeping Dogs as well.
I'm also somewhat curious whether the next iteration of Just Cause will see the light in 2013, I remember there being rumours of it being in development a while back.
I am really interested in seeing what Bioshock and Tomb Raider turn out to be like. I've been hitting the franchises pretty hard over the holidays thanks to the Steam Sale. I hope they can produce the goods! I know it's likely to be awful but I'm really excited about the new South Park game which has guilty pleasure written all over it!!
I'm waiting for GTA V guardedly. The story in IV was good, but the game itself kinda licked balls, and the porting job was done terribly. Still now, I think if I hear "cousin, it's your cousin!" again I might punch somebody.
And really, who am I kidding with GTA V? If it's not down to $12 in a Steam Sale, I won't even be picking it up this year anyway. God knows I've got a backlog it will take better than a year to work through from Steam Sales going back to the summer sale from 2011.
little weak to add showdown effect when aliens:CM, the last of us, two souls and a couple others are a bit more interesting to look out for since there is less answers than questions over these tittles than showdown and maybe simcity tbh

Totally agree dude. I don't think there's going to be any middle ground with it, they'll either completely nail it, or we'll get another poorly ported title. Despite having a hefty gaming rig I think I'm more likely to pick this up on consoles when it eventually comes out.

Surprised not to see Elder Scrolls Online included :|
Sim City sounds pretty exciting to have a nerdgasm on, roll on March!
I want Tomb Raider to be brilliant and I'm sure it'll sell well, but it has to surpass the levels of enjoyment Uncharted has given.
BTW the showdown effect video has the label Bioshock Infinite Trailer underneath it :)
Concur
Fez.
Crysis 3 is the reason I went SLI'd GTX 680's.
Not really looked for much more in terms of games because there will be the next installment in the console port series of Call Of Duty.
You crazy.
Also, no mention of Metro: Last Light :(

How many people believe it will be released on schedule though?
I just needed to reiterate this! How could this game be left off the list!?! My most anticipated game of 2013.
I am looking forward to:
Dead Space 3
Metro Last Light
Space Hulk
I am interested in (but am worried they'll be flawed):
Bioshock Infinite
Crysis 3
Prey 2
Wasteland 2
Mechwarrior Tactics

Thirded. Closely followed by Rome II. Neither of which I will be buying until summer, lest I fail my degree.
