I still haven't played most of the games I bought on steam holiday or summersale, and have only played/tried CS:GO on that list. Can I still call myself a gamer? Have been playing BF3 and Orcs Must Die 2 this fall. Id softwares "Rage" was terrible, but gona try to get through it...

Left no votes... :P

You're not alone. Not even sure why I kept reading the list before voting. :D

Maybe we can get a third vote if B_HERB comes by!

Only had sleeping dogs and black mesa this year so my vote isn't worth much lol

There are quite a few I haven't played on that list (but actually have - damn Steam sales!).

At the moment I would vote for Mass Effect 3 since it's a game I actually played and loved it right up until the end (though the final 'group' fight cost me a mouse when I smashed it in anger after getting killed for the gazillionth time).

This weekend I'm finishing off a playthrough of Deus Ex Human Revolution, so will be looking to play Dishonoured and XCom.

Another thing I can be sure of is that I definitely won't vote for Max Payne 3. Not a terrible game but I found it nowhere near as good as the first two.

Surprised there is not more love for mass effect 3. I have not played all these games but I have played and enjoyed a lot of them and me3 is in a class of its own. I feel many of the games here were great but flawed. Me3 was dynamite apart from the ending (and they even went back and changed that).

Wouldn't Witcher 2 ED be 2011, was only an (awesome) content patch, but still? No Guild Wars 2?

I will only say:

Far Cry 3, it blew my mind

Wow, this year's voting catalogue....doesn't even cause a ripple in my mind....so barren. Torchlight 2 I'd say- still the better hack'n'slash mechanics of Diablo II. Although Mass Effect 3/Journey and Sleeping dogs are good options as well. I sure know what I'd vote for next year if it is included: HOOOOOTS!!!!

End of console cycle spiel, the list of games is great and i've enjoyed some absolute golden corkers but no stand out hit titles. Will be voting for a sequel most likely....
GeorgeStorm 1st December 2012, 13:14 Quote
I haven't played any of those games...

Black Mesa.

Guys (and gals) doing it for the love and they put nearly every major release this year to shame. Thomas and Dishonored second and third respectively.

I would have voted for Planetside 2 if you'd put it in the list, next year maybe?

Well out of that list, I'm ashamed to say I've only played two games - Mass Effect 3 and Max Payne 3.

I just can't find the time anymore... *sigh* :(

walking dead for me, but x-com and spec ops : the line in close running. i'm voting more for 'most memorable' though, walking dead is more an interactive story than a game but really drags you in and makes you worry not only over decisions to be made but the 'what ifs ?" of decisions past, x-com is a superb remake and specops is bland as a shooter but has one of the most affecting and memorable plots of any game i've played in recent years.

I've only played Halo 4 out of all in the list, Ah well, Maybe next year i will buy more new games, although it's a given, GTA 5 WILL be Game of the Year 2013.... Fact!
