Today just keeps getting better and better. Ill post a picture of me wearing it, hopefully while im not on fire. Right im off to B&Q to look at there armor department, and see if they have large gun barrels for my KV tank.
happy to see my questions made it in. Unfortunately they seem a tad bit dated now as they rolled out a icon system after I asked. I would still like to see a rank system next to tanks, a simple chevron system like in MW2 or old school world of warcraft would work. All it has to show is the rank and type of tank. So that on the fly I can tell how worried I am about the tank without having to memorize every name and it's tier.
Metarinka, if you hold down Alt then a small picture of the tank appears above the green icon, and the player's name. From those you can know what tank it is (press Tab to see player name/tank/kills).

yah I know that, although I think that feature wasn't in when I asked my question. What I want is just a slightly more streamlined rank system, so that say if you see someone with 3 chevrons or a star you know they are tier 10. color coding could help with the type of vehicle. They implemented the square, triangle etc system. But using military ranks would just look cleaner.

I think this is left out partly because its an enthusiasts game. You need to learn what the tanks are so you can make an informed decision.
But as a gamer not a tank enthusiast I agree with you.

You don't know your King Tiger from a Jagdtiger? You better get learning then before we meet up next week.... as I'm planning a tank quiz for you ;)
I'll start studying, from 300 meters or looking from the arty screen very hard to tell tanks apart. one of the biggest things in actual warfare was actually telling friend and foe apart. Even if was only on the loading score tab it would be nice to see that difference.
I think lance is right when he says it was an enthusiast game which has since become popular. The core gameplay is good, but i think it's missing some of the elements to appeal to a mass audience and the non hardcore. Such as a better spotting system (my vote is for one like in the battlefield games where people actually call in tank locations and they stay for longer) and consumables or anything that break the gameplay. Right now the gameplay is good but very monotone, you get in your tank and shoot until you die. It would be nice to have cool downs, or special abilities or more customizaiton so that your tank matches your gameplay style, instead of 500,000 for -10% load speed. Perhaps goals or objectives to increase crew skill. Maybe get x kills in a game to unlock a new consumable or shoot x rounds to increase your loaders speed. The current system works it's just nothing breaks up the monotony
I love the game apart from the need to have gold to play a decent level of tank, or you end up playing low tiers to pay for the one high tier game you might get after a week of saving.
Can be very buggy at times, patches to fix things get delayed all the time, game mechanics have a lot of work to be done still; seems to have a bias to one team winning every time (i.e. shots disappearing, damage not being registered and game balance is often a joke).
Autocratic moderators control all forum and chat content, often deleting negative posts or banning people for unjust reasons, and since any player tries to complain (on deaf ears) nothing happens.
Customer service is only just at a minimum level. They keep adding new content without fixing the major problems being voiced by the players (if they actually listen).
Like I said, it's a good game, but still has many issues.

ReplyThat's a really helpful comment, cheers for your input.
Makes the gold I pre-ordered for WoT seem a little easier to swallow.
Thanks.

Thanks bit-tech for making this happen.

Unless the dev on the forum is lying, but then I'm just going to beat my head against the desk for eternity.
I have not got mine.....(unhappy face)
