If Bit-Tech are invoking Half-Life comparisons, they're either a) very dumb or b) quite sure it'll turn out to be a great game. I'm really hoping for b) :)
A PC-friendly attitude from THQ is also heartening.

Whoa, whoa. I'm not saying it's AS GOOD AS Half-Life, just that it uses a similar approach.
I do think it looks really good, but lets not start getting carried away, eh?

Have to agree it would be a bit of a 'miss-step' to compare a potentially rotten apple to the Half Life series. So I'm looking forward to this, hope not to be disappointed.
That's even if it's just in the approach it takes.
would be interesting if they created a different scenario, like america this time going rogue and invading another country, and you are defending against it :D, that would make it totally different. lol, yeah yeah , I just woke up,lol

Where have u been living? That already is pretty much every other game out there.
Sure , sure, they say they are defending against someone, but are you really when yiou are taking over other counrty.
On the other hand I am really looking forward to some triple A game that does not include US in any way.

Anyway, looks pretty good. Can you make IEDs in the game? How far do they take this 'insurgent' premise? After all, one man's terrorist is another's freedom fighter.
The comparison to "Red Dawn" is correct and makes me very happy. WOLVERINES!!!!
John Milius, the man who wrote the story for Homefront, also wrote the screenplay for "Red Dawn".
Growing up in the Mountains of Colorado makes this an extra special treat for me :) Totally buying this.
I have to admit I initially dismissed this game due to the wild implausibility of the storyline, but if they can make a good game out of it then go for it. I mean Half-Life isn't really plausible either.
tbh shitting into a bucket is more fun then cod these days however any game that uses half life as an inspiration for either gameplay or story telling gets a vote in my book.

To me it sounds very much like the single player missions in BF2:BC which I am enjoying immensly.
Think I'll be buying this
I wasn't interested before, now this sounds good.
