Haha this is going to be soo awesome. Not only will you be playing this maniac game, we'll be able to experience all this backstabbing through these articles which will surely only make things worse for the lot of you. Great idea. :D
Amazing. I reckon Kevin's actually got a really nice position. A few near stars, not too much competition. I'm pretty sure it won't be Joe or Harry who win. Too much attention on them. My money is on Kevin, Paul or Mike :)
Can we get daily updates of the map? Would be great to keep track of the action.

Started my first game last night, already had my neighbour suggest an alliance because he believes two of the other players to share an IP address and probably at least slightly dodgy. Great fun!

Alas, the game is already too far underway to bring daily updates. I'll try to get someone to take screenshots from this point on to give a visual guide at least.
You guys are all wrong. Joe is in an excellent starting position. He can basically decide the course of the entire game all by his own, he has more options then anyone else, and everyone will need him as a friend or a weakling at one point.
Just look at the map from his eyes. If he decided to grow towards Florida while those three nibble eachother to death, he can research and grow a warmachine that will engulf them all by the time they get in contact, unless Mike and Jamie work together to form a proper boundary. Such an arrangement would put them at a disadvantage on so many levels that it wouldn't ever be stable.
If he focuses instead on the east, he can make the galaxy for the others so small that they'll have to collide soon. Only Joe and Harry will have sizeable "backyards" of unchallenged territory. If they manage to outgrow Clive and Mike, they can basically decide victory between them.
Alex plays a key part, but won't win, Paul could be a dangerous outsider if he manages to kill Alex fast, and Jamie is pretty much screwed no matter how you look at it. Kevin may look strong, but he's **** out of options.
Out of all of them, my pick for a starting spot would definately be Joe's.
"Sir, there's a problem. We are completely surrounded!"
"Excellent! We can attack in any direction!"

hehe, i'll officially endorse you if you are willing to post a new map. I just jumped into a free game myself now, i'd like to see how you are doing :)
A free game will likely have a lot of inactives in it, and is randomly generated by the server. A premium game can be configured by the starting player, and can be locked by password so you have only your friends in there :)

ReplyHow much is a premium game?
My early tips for victory: Harry, Clive or Kevin. Joe's definitely going down in flames.
We'll see about that!

...It's on.
...Oh, it's definitely on.
With Gamescom next week? I doubt it.
So the MBB Dongles will be out in force then?
