in case you forgot :)

the video feels the same as on my PC (also gtx260) doesn't feel as smooth as MW2.

funny how you mention the nextgen consoles haha. They're not so nextgen anymore :)
Elton 10th March 2010, 23:39 Quote
Mentioning the consoles are a bit amusing, they run it on low.

Cool vid nonetheless, except the lack of prone is a no-no.

I've not got the game but the graphics and destructible environments look awesome. I've got MW2 but Bad Company 2 seems a lot more PC focussed than MW2, which was basically a straight port of the experience the consoles were getting.

Am I the only one noticing it says download the MP3 and yet the file is an MP4? :P

I notice you seem to be able to connect to servers and actually play the game - hardly realistic.

Yeah, they're still working out the kinks unfortunately - last night the friends list and play now packed in, but you could still play. Fear the power of the PC gamers united!

Despite the server prodblems bfbc2 is a great game both single player and multiplayer , EA / DICE servers have been overwhelmed since release which is what's caused all the problems , There's an article on FUDZILLA which says dice have been suprised how well this is selling on the pc - seems to me we're all desperate for BF3 ! ( know i am...) bfbc2 more than makes up for the wait though....

I was kicking butt on the CPC server until BC2 decided it couldn't connect to the EA master servers.

Oh also: I like the videos guys, nice addition to the text reviews - better than our video ;)

nice video, although it probably would have been better a tad earlier as i reckon a hell of a lot of people will have finished single player by now.

As long as you guys don't go all video, and use it only to supplement the written articles, I'm all for this.

we love our text, so dont worry. Are you sure you dont want us to voice you through graphics benchmarks though?

I like reading.. and I like picking out the spelling and grammar mistakes :p

Nice gamecast guys! The game is really good. Minus all the problems at the moment with the multiplayer. I did find my squad mates didnt back me up as much as they did for you though ^^ I was on a heavy machine gun, and I had 2 bad guys shooting me in the back, the AI seemed to ignore them. And the bit you died, I found grenades were the key, lots and lots of grenades :P

I have to say having played both MW2 and BC2, they are both great games and it would be near impossible to place one in front of the other. That said as this is about BC2, almost fully destructable environments is great. Single player is great fun albeit a bit short. Online game play is not comparable and does introduce the good ol feel of Battlefield series with all the good of modern weaponary, and more realistic physics and destruction. A game well worth every penny/ cent. Just needs the kinks worked out and it will be the best of its kind.
johnnyboy700 11th March 2010, 18:32 Quote
Yep, loving the gamecasts, they give a really good feel for the game and ironically enough (although not intentional) I've bought both games you've featured in the gamecasts.

More gamecasts please.

Wish they would pull their finger out and sort the issues out.
I'm liking the multiplayer but I can barely finish a round before I'm disconnected.
Sometimes my hit reg is screwed, like a full clip direct at the guy almost filling my screen and he survived and shot me once and I died?

I just had a thought.
Bit could liaise with EA/Dice directly to bring updates on exactly what they're doing to resolve things.
Would mean we have a good place to get info on updates and also give an insight into the issues from the other side of the server.
Right now I could quite happily swing for whoever is responsible for the issues but I'd be much more understanding if I knew what they were facing with getting things resolved. :)

Nice video, but multiplayer is where it is at with this game (at least when the EA master servers are playing ball).
Blackie Chan 11th March 2010, 23:18 Quote
MW2 was not my game, absolute **** compared to BC2's multiplayer. Love the balance and the realism. Its actually rewarding to land a hit with a sniper. The classes are underpowered though for a brand new player. Engineers cant repair lvl1, medic cant heal, support cant...support. Kinda herds you into playing recon really. but lvl 5 is a good place to be.
WARHAMSTER 11th March 2010, 23:52 Quote
Love it, warts and all. I got used to the no prone sooner than I thought. (Here's the wildly optimistic bit) I hope EA/DICE learn the lessons from BC2 to make Battlefield 3 more stable etc. when it comes out.

I feel a bit light headed for some reason.

I had loads of unlocks at lvl1 including healing and defrib, etc. I think its 'cos I was a battlefield 'veteran' having previously registered BF2, BF2142, Bad Company, etc.

I think?
cybergenics 12th March 2010, 15:55 Quote
I got a load of unlocks all in a glut, sniper rifle, silenced SCAR and some other bits, as I was in the middle of a level. Like the one with the docks and ship, every map is good for snipers, unlike MW2. As I bought off steam also got the Thomson SMG and the Colt .45 but not sure they were worth the extra money...?!! Too lazy to drive 20 miles round trip to Game to buy it.
