... especially since it feels it might have been a little too streamlined for the console market.
So, another consoled game in PC?

RIP Wolfenstein is all I can say.
wuyanxu 26th August 2009, 11:31 Quote
it's such a bad game........ everything is consolidated to the max.
Denis_iii 26th August 2009, 12:20 Quote
TRS rated it as fun, but nothing new with frustrations, looks a good FPS blast
but then i'm keen for a remake of Quake 1, exactly the same just modern graphics
WASD jump and shoot all the way!

So... Not worth buying... What are the good games coming until the end of the year? L4D2? Bioshock 2? Anything else?

While dismemberment and zero-gravity both sound pretty cool, it's worth noting that Wolfenstein is actually all that impressive from a technological or graphical standpoint

Shouldn't that be isn't? Those dismembered bodies look terrible.

To be honest I have never played the Wolfenstein series, I should really give them a go.

****ing console gamers ruining it for the rest of us.

this game is a mild disappointment to me especially multiplayer which I didn't like at all, and singleplayer can't compare with RTCW it
is mildly entertaining and passes the time waiting for a good game. anyways better than chinese checkers right!
Bindibadgi 26th August 2009, 14:18 Quote
I need to find my copy of RTCW now!! Re-review time :D

i cannot help but feel that the console gamers are 'the rest', and we are beginning to become a minority. one that drives up the cost of making games... and it makes me sad.

I just finished it the other day, it wasn’t as terrible as some other recent games, it certainly wasn’t in the same league as RTCW and the multiplayer isn’t nearly as good as Enemy Territory.

This review is rife with errors like this. Makes the lit major in me cringe. Is there no editing? How about just a quick grammar checker?
Bindibadgi 26th August 2009, 15:31 Quote
I wouldn't say rife. I found four :P

If spot them drop me a PM though :)

the only fun to be found is that mindless kind of switch-off-your-brain fun, not the high-adrenaline tension we'd expect from modern games.

Oh ye credulous youth. "Switch off your brain fun" is exactly what I'd expect from modern games. Tension? Tension? Have you played System Shock 2?
glaeken 26th August 2009, 15:33 Quote
About what I expected. All the videos I saw were totally uninspiring. Too bad, as RTCW was fantastic.
Evildead666 26th August 2009, 15:50 Quote
RTCW was fun last time i played it, with 4 or 8xAA IIRC....one good thing for having a LOTS better graphics card than back then..... :)
System Shock 2....Mmmmmmmm have to dig that one out....
Rkiver 26th August 2009, 15:57 Quote
Right so, played it, and thought "this feels too consoled down".

/me sighs.

Don't get me wrong, I like gaming of all sorts, I like my Xbox 360 and PS3. But I also like my pc. And this feels too dumbed down.

I was very much looking forward to this game... Now I'm really not so sure I want to spend what little extra money I have on it... 'Tis a sad day indeed. Wolf3D and RTCW were the kings....
