Ahhh, I've been waiting for game like this for ages.

Hmm, I might stay away from this if I value my relationship...

loot that is a good question how does that work,

is it a complete unknown like oblivion (bad)
or is it like Wow where we know all the stats of every item (good)

Might have missed it but what about the multiplayer options?

From what I dimly recall overhearing there's no multiplayer, but there will be modding tools. Don't hold me to that though!

As for loot, it's a mix. There are randomised random treasures when it comes to gold, trinkets and low level spells and so on, but there's also pre-set specific weapons and items. Basically, like it was in BG2. You know that you're going to get Casomyr sword for doing X quest, but you don't know which three Level 3 spells you might get.

Dungeon Siege uber-coop for the win!

Sounds very promising... how annoying that we have to wait till Q3 now to play it!

Very, very excited about this. If it achieves even half of the greatness of the Baldur's Gate games it'll be fantastic.

Dear Santa:
I was wondering, if for this xmas, i could get a nice copy of this ubber game :S

seems like the game just needs some AA to me (and of course the 6+ months of engine optimisations), second last picture didn't look too bad, just needed some aa.

Do want.

A lot.

However, if it's got SecuROM Online Activation on it, as hard as it would be for me to do, I'd not buy it.

I like the expression on the guys face who's being held by the monkey lol he's like whatever!

Looks pretty sweet, needs co-op though

Greatly disappointed with the distinct lack of classes. First we had the epic BG2, then it got whittled down for Mass Effect, and now it has been whittled down even more!
pendragon 10th February 2009, 18:31 Quote
looking forward to this

Yeah, no multiplayer - in particular no co-op, is really disappointing. This is one of the features that made the BG series so great IMO. So meh, I think I'm going to skip this game entirely now. Sad, I was looking forward to.
Flexible_Lorry 11th February 2009, 03:59 Quote
I predict it won't come anywhere near the greatness of the CRPGs of old.
And I am never wrong.

Hmm, looks interesting. I am only just getting into the RPG side of things, and was recently offered a copy of the first Icewind Dale for nothing. I have heard a lot about BG and BG2, but hardly anything about IWD. Is it any good? How does it compare to BG and BG2? Should I grab it ASAP, or should I be wary of it?
CardJoe 11th February 2009, 07:43 Quote
Icewind Dale was a disappointment for me - it was built for multiplayer really, so it lacks a lot of the atmosphere of BG's singleplayer.
