Hotel Giant ... sounds excellent!
All the stress of running a hotel, except it isn't real!
I wonder how many people will buy it! Bargain price I think!

i loved that game.

Why - Sim City has been fun back in the day. This game doesn't have to be bad, only because you guys don't think it's fun. Some people like planning stuff.

I loved Sim City, and Theme Hospital but this just doesn't look as good.

Amusing.

All this chatter that it looks crap, but The Sims 3, looking after people, watching them ****, piss, argue, **** - GREAT!

I agree. I might actually get a copy of this, just to kill time (when I should be doing assignments).
Not to mention, if you really get into something it can be quite enjoyable, even if it is as mundane as playing a hotel manager game.

Edit: scrap that, I just read the review properly. It does look pretty bland.

however bland or boring the game, the interview made me laugh. and for that, the game has a special place in my heart for the next five or ten minutes.

But the sims IS pretty boring. Designing houses is fun, but as soon as that's done it's pretty boring.

You know, everything is fun when you should be doing assignments. Even cleaning floors is fun at such a time.

I still have Transport Tycoon installed [with OpenTTD]...

Get ready for a thread full of people hating this because it's not a all singing and dancing FPS that needs DX10 and a high end rig to run... which is a shame, as tbh, I think it has potential.

Some of my all time favourite games were of this genre, and I think it looks quite good.

SimTower is still much better! :)

Hilarious review. Game on the other hand looks shite.

OK so the group of 3 pictures at the conclusion. If you think of them as 1 large image (which I bet you did on purpose, they match too well... arm!) there is a silver ring (MRI machine?) with a head on one side and no body on the other!?!

Hotel Decapitation?

edit... I actually looked at the pictures and I see what you did there. Also spotted the legs. By the way, what is that machine? I don't spend much time at a beauty salon. It looks like its out of Voyager's sick bay or something.

wtf is up with the difference between US and UK price?

can't say I want to go out and buy it...

i played the first hotel giant, and it was fairly enjoyable, it was what it was, a sim/tycoon game

this appears to have taken that original concept and tried to turn it into a casual style game, which doesn't really gel with what the game was originally designed to be, as the bit-tech team concluded.

i've personally grown out of this kind of game, but even had i not, i can't see the new elements having appealed to me one bit

Games like this can be extremely rewarding and fun. I remember in Evil Genius I ended up spending more time on my hotel than my lair, lol.
