We all know that duke 4 ever won't make this year also.

FEAR 2?? With Monolith? i am sooo buying this game!

Mafia 2, warhammer 40k (THQ, we love you), batman and project offset.
Long time since i last heard of Project: offset. The most impressive video i ever saw in a game!

I wish we had a release date for Diablo 3 and Starcraft 2....

No release date. Last I hear they hadn't started production in earnest because of L4D too.

a) I don't understand what's so impressive about that P:O trailer? It looks like a cheap rip-off of PoP and LotR. Sure, the graphics look good but you can say that about a lot of games that end up being average at best.
b) D3 and SC2 didn't get a mention because they won't be released in 2009! Let's face it: The chance for SC2 to be released this year might be there but not high by any means. And D3? Yeah, right... 2010 the earliest.
c) Not really waiting for any of those except the DUKE!

Will give SH5 (I don't take Origins seriously enough to let it count) a try though. Absolutely loved 'The Room'.

They haven't started Episode3?

So knowing Valve, we won't see it for another 2 years at least :)

I was reading this and thought to myself, "hmm I wonder what ever happened to Project:Offset" and BAM - next game you mentioned.. ha! I can't wait for that and I'm quite intrigued by DragonAge now!

Well it's nice to know it'll be a properly finished article like all the hl2 series! If only everyone made games so well.

By the time it comes out, the Source engine will be very outdated.. :(

To the comments at the beginning: Diablo III isn't going to be released this year, it should be pretty obvious when you combine Blizzard's ways of developement and that they have actually said they will release one game each year for the next three years. What the third game is, seems to still be a mystery.

Personally I have to say most of the mentioned games don't peak my interest at all. Then again, I usually don't wait for games prior to releasing time for the most part.

I guess the list would've been rather short if it didn't contain so many unknowns but it does make me wonder what's the point in making lists that are...shall we say vague. Adding Duke to the list seems rather like a statement. Not sure I like the reasoning behind it, joke or not.

FEAR 2 looks to be good, but I'll never know since it doesn't look like it's going to be released for the PC.

Surely Beyond Good and Evil 2 should be on here?
