I never was a big fan of Tomb Raider games but this on looks appealing. Good read man, thanks.

Looks pretty good. Not sure about the motorbike shenanigans though, although it'll offer something different.

Haven't played a Tomb Raider since the first couple of games back on the PS1. But I have to say, given the game shots I may have to get this for the eye candy alone.

And by that I mean the wonderful scenic locations the game appears to be set within of course.

They could have just used the Cry Engine.

Is the climbing similar to AC where you just go in a direction and hold a button? skill or aim?

I guess this will be rather good then - it's the first review I've ever read of a Tomb Raider game that did not sarcastically mention... well...

Let me just say this review was titillating and thanks for keeping us abreast of the situation.

Really enjoyed Legend, and now I can't wait for a review of Underworld.

OT: Joe, very nearly bought a copy of Beyond Good & Evil on the PS2 for £7 in Tescos earlier, not really sure why I didn't get it...

You can get it cheaper than that. When I was in Uni I saw a bargain bin in an independant retailer with ten of them for £3 each!

I was never a fan of Tomb Raider (except for the first one) but the website for anniversary is visually stunning imho

Anyone else look at some of the screen shots in this game and think that they wouldn't look out of place in an Uncharted review, some of it looks very similar.

Looking forward to this, I quite enjoyed Uncharted but was a bit disapointed it wasn't a Tombraider, you know more emphasis on adventuring and less on the shooty shooty stuff.

Oh, I'd love to pick this one up.. That scenery is amazing. :P
Sidenote: either it's just Me that has a filthy mind, still love the innuendo that Joe puts in these articles.. :D

I was blown away by the screens in a PSN magazine and only imagining what they could look like on PC just makes me smile.....

I think the only game of the tomb raider series was the first.. Or the second on original Playstation. The game was dull and the camera was irritating, but if you walked Lara to a corner the camera would pick up on her breasts. What else can a young boy ask from a game!?
Amon 3rd February 2008, 06:02 Quote
The screens make this Lara look a lot like Rhona Mitra.

I'm 35, and the only TR I have ever played was the "restart" of TR, and it kicked arse!

Somehow I missed the original brouhaha, so for me, this is all new, and it's great.

Although I wish Lara's breast's were smaller. It's not realistic, and projects a false body idea to both young men and women.

great news, as a self confessed tomb raider fan boy i cant wait

Great preview. I'm now really excited about this game. Playing the old games, 1,2 and 3 on the PS1 were good times. I'm really glad they are dropping the linear approach of legend and going back to more open levels and puzzles that require some exploration and back tracking. That was the most fun part of the originals..

You can't really see her face in these shots unfortunately, but her current model looks very, very fierce and anime inspired. Thankfully, the face model used in the screenshots there is not final at all.
